Behold possibly the wildest 1st generation Touareg. The almost forgotten W12 model. Yes, that’s right. In mid 2000s, VW engineering team saw W12 engine and asked themselves what will happen if they put it into the Touareg.
Initially, this project was supposed to be just a 500 units limited run, but later it was sold as regular model with no restriction about how many units can be sold.
And yes, you could find this same W12 in some Bentley cars of the time (plus in Phaeton and A8).
