Forza GT Open Series (Starting 6th June)
Welcome to Virtual Forza Racing’s first full length series, Forza GT Open. The series will be made up of two types of race meetings, Sprint and Endurance, And will consist of ten rounds. Races will be every two weeks on a Wednesday with qualifying kicking off at 8:30pm BST (GMT +1). This is a series you can’t miss out on. High speed, close and fair racing is all to be expected during this championship.
Livery Information
- Paints must be in a race/Motorsport style and not have anything that could be deemed inappropriate or offensive.
Team Information
- Teams are allowed a maximum of two drivers.
- Teammate must use the same livery, however they may have distinguishing features or different sponsors.
Qualifying Information
- Qualifying will take place on race night at 8:30pm BST (GMT +1)
- Qualifying will last 15 minutes, Allowing drivers plenty of time to set a clean lap.
- Rules: Collisions off, Simulation damage.
- Anyone who misses qualifying will start from the back of the grid.
- All times must be certified.
- Any one who lag’s out, Or crashes out after the first lap, Will have their fastest current lap used as their qualifying time.
- Drivers are asked to be respectful during qualifying and to keep chatter to a minimum.
Sprint Race Information
- Race 1 will start at 9pm BST (GMT +1) with Race 2 following straight after (With a 5-10 minute break to allow drivers time to rest/use the toilet etc)
- Both races will use a rolling start procedure at the end of the green flag lap.
- Drivers will be asked to form up two by two in qualifying order for the rolling start, And each driver is to go as their row crosses the start/finish line.
- Both races will have one mandatory pitstop.
- Rules: Collisions on, Simulation damage.
- Sprint races will last 40 minutes.
Endurance Race Information
- Endurance races will start at 9pm BST (GMT +1)
- They will use a rolling start procedure at the end of the green flag lap.
- Drivers will be asked to form up two by two in qualifying order for the rolling start, And each driver is to go as their row crosses the start/finish line.
- All Endurance races will have two mandatory pitstops.
- Rules: Collisions on, Simulation damage.
- Endurance races will be 90 minutes, Except the Spa round which will be 2 hours 40 minutes and award double points.
General Information
- The VFR Blancpain GT series will have an Overall, Pro/Am, And Team Championship.
- All racers must follow the lobby host instructions.
- All standard VFR rules apply.
- All racers must be registered before racing.
- Racers can use any assists but AUTO BRAKE, TCS and STM are not allowed.
- All final car builds cannot be changed.
- Tuning is allowed unless stated otherwise.
