i’m a little confused, i got the ULTIMATE EDITION on DISC , which inludes the VIP pass and the pre order car pack (and supposodly the car pass)
the added DLC to my account was for VIP and the Fate of the furious DLC pack… absolutely no mention of the car pass
(but when redeemed the code it did say “ultimate edition content”) which does include a car pass i believe… and the box says so
does it actually state car pass in the DLC on the xbox?? or is this normal?
i added my code, it hasnt given me any VIP driver gear (do i have to get these from crates?)
and it only gave me 3 VIP crates (is that all i get or is it so many per week or something?)
it gave me no MODS (i know they will be some inside scrates but am scared to open the VIP crates incase something isnt right as i thougfht it would be a lot more than 3 crates)
so the cards with 100% bonus are inside the VIP crates i assume? as i have read its 25 uses/25 cards so a bit confused about what i should be getting straigtht off
I also have 18 BASIC crates, as i got those from being level 10 on ForzaHub… but i added my code the day after i had played the first few races… will this have affected what it has given me?
You will get your 5 VIP 100% bonus CR with 5 times usage each (so 25 times in total) inside these 3 VIP Crates, as well as all the other bonuses items included in the VIP.
Open them but keep the 5 cards and use them when doing very long races, they will surely be useful then !
As for the Basic crates, i suggest you open them right now to start using the mods you get with them. This will help you double, at the very least, the credits you gain in race.
I didn’t understand your preoccupation about the code you talk about, the content is the same in every VIP Crates. Just open them !
i still hope its given me “the car pass” as its supposed to be included with the edition i bought, but it doesnt say i have a “car pass” thats all i was worried about.
i didnt know the contents was the same in all VIP crates, i assumed it was random things, hence why i was hesitant to open because i though there would be more than 3 crates + the other stuff, so thanks for clearing that up.
the VIP driver gear is still locked, i thougth that was going to unlcok when i added the code, but it didnt. so not sure if i’ve glitched it because i added my code a day or 2 later after i started the game

I just wanted to say you’re welcome to the Forza community and thank you to the others like me who spoke with their wallet to encourage action on the VIP program. I said I would be keeping an eye on what Forza was going to about it and there are making things right. I will be buying back the game.
This! Broken trust is hard to get back. I avoided FM5 because of the backlash associated with that one. I heard all the bad news and just decided ‘no’; it dropped off my radar until I got it free last month…
While its great they have listened to us and have planned to change things, it still doesn’t change the fact they tried to push their luck again. Imagine a friend you’ve been loyal to trying to stab you in the back either literally or metaphorically and then buying you a KFC to make up, it still doesn’t change the fact they tried. Its a shame you have to hit a company financially to get them to take notice, most companies aren’t about good service and are about getting more while offering less.
Hopefully they will learn from this, in that they can’t just miss so much info out from pre launch marketing and news, which has lead to much unhappiness.
Last night when I started up, I downloaded the new VIP cars and 1 million dollars. And I read the message that was posted on the forum.
Was there another car added to the list, because I did not receive 2017 Acura NSX Forza Edition as one of my VIP awards?
Note - The original article if you read it said one of the gift cars was the 2017 Acura NSX Forza Edition, this was an error and it’s actually the 2010 Maserati Gran Turismo S Forza Edition. The article has since been correct.
So now that the VIP is permanent, is this only for the ones who bought the Ultimate Edition before the whole mess, or will it also count if you buy it anytime from now? I’ve read that the performance on PC has improved a bit, and now with the VIP being changed to permanent, I’m thinking of buying the game again today.
EDIT: I got the game again after the response I got (which was deleted for some reason?) I even got the $1M and the FE cars. Performance issues were definitely patched as I experienced no crashes for my entire game session (4 hours straight). There is still work to be done, like the laggy menus and game stuck on saving. But good job, T10. Game’s going in the right direction.
