Vinyl Editor [Need Help]

Hi new to the Forza games but just started out on FH3 and loving it especially the paint and design.

However I was just wondering if i am able to make vinyls without creating it on a car, for instance when I watch Forza 4 speed paint they seem to have a blank page. Is it possible to use something like that in the game? Or shall I suck it up and just create it directly to the car.

That is fantastic thank you I’ve been thinking I would have had to make it on the car now I have a blank canvas.
