Very serious bug found - T10 please read!

I have found extremely serious bug in the game which needs investigating. This bug also plagues Forza Horizon 3 and Forza 6: Apex.

After some time, game starts forcing process NT Kernel & System to use 20% CPU, which results in horrible stutter. This stutter can be allievated by changing in game resolution to lower, and then back to higher one (I go around it with “native window resolution”, and just change window size).

In Horizon 3 on the other hand, the issue needs game restart, else it will just keep on doing that no matter what.
In Apex, it also can be allievated by changing resolution, however it works only for 10-15 minutes before NT Kernel and System starts murdering performance again.

It happens regardless of graphic settings.

I have no clue what is the problem but here are my system specs:

i3-6100
GTX 1050Ti 4GB
16GB RAM
Latest Windows 10
7200RPM HDD Toshiba P300

No other game does this at all.

Your CPU is below the minimum requirements I believe, which is a quad core i5 or equivalent.

That’s not the case at all, it shouldn’t start murdering performance after some time.

As you can see the MINIMUM requirement CPU is a Intel i5-750 which is a Quad-Core CPU (With Hyperthreading It’s 8 cores)
The i3-6100 CPU is a Dual-Core CPU (With Hyperthreading it’s 4 cores)

Then explain to me why game runs fine for first hour and then starts getting murdered?

The i3-6100 is several generations newer (5?) and about 22% faster. OP has a point.

Regardless, it’s below minimum spec and dual cores have been inadequate for gaming for 10 years now. Yes you can get away with it on some games, but evidently not on this one. So time for an upgrade.

Could be because of the memory leak bug that FM7 currently has, if you want to test that for yourself, use a program that can monitor your RAM and VRAM usage while playing the game.

But it still has less cores, that’s the bottleneck for this game i think.

No .If that was the bottletneck , then the performance would be so bad from the beginning!
it has nothing to do (in this case) with the 2 vs 4 (real) cores .
The old systemrequirements say … it needs a Haswell i3 with 2/4 cores but they LOWERED the requirements to a lynnfield i5 cpu …

@op … maybe try to disable all energie save options of your hdd and or pc …

Try to disable fullscreen optimization

It must be your system configuration somehow. I don’t think it’s the game or it would happen to everyone. I never have slowdowns in any Forza title on PC. In fact Apex is the best performing game on my PC.
