Veritas used to be a tiny German car company which started as a group project of 3 friends (Ernst Loof, Georg Meier, and Lorenz Dietrich) who were modifying BMW 328 cars with customer-sourced parts and selling them under BMW-Veritas brand.

But, after a few cars, BMW delivered them their objection, so the modified cars had to be renamed to Veritas.

They stayed in the businesses to 1952.

But, back in 2001, a new company called VerMot came on a scene with a goal of reviving Veritas brand. Since then, they made a multiple versions of RS III concept. Earliest car had BMW’s 6.0 V12 engines. But later, they changed it to glorious, and legendary 5.0 V10 (yes, S85).

In 2011, they said they will offer a hybrid version of this single-seater car and that they have all-electric version in the works.

But neither version saw the production line as VerMot was moving start of production date further and further (originally, it was supposed to hit showroom floors in 2008) all the way to 2014 when company defunct.
