Here’s my first shots in Horizon 2. Unfortunatly, due to install times and work I’ve only had about an hour of game time and haven’t progressed very far, so all I have thus-far is shots of the BMW Z4 and the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale. Any and all feedback is welcome.
Here’s another shot to hold people over. The shot is mine, but I based on a photo from Devlin’s Gallery. Please, tell me what you think: HORIZON 2 - Driver (1) by vAcesWild
Cheers Nights, it means a lot to get some feedback from an established Forzatographer. Anything I can improve on? I have a few more shots I can upload later tonight.
Well it looks like your already experimenting with settings and I think that’s a great way to get better photos. I would also switch to Flickr for higher quality photos but that’s up to you
Welcome back to my Photo Shop. I apologize for the delay between postings - I have updated my hosting site to Flickr from Photobucket. To compensate for the delay, I’ll add a large bunch of pictures today, featuring the 2003 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, the 2015 Ford Mustang GT and the 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI.
I apologize for the delay between posting. Between work, school and other things I haven’t had much spare time. To make up for the wait, I’ll post a large batch today. As always, please feel free to post your thoughts. I’m trying to become a better Forzatographer and any bit of advice helps.
Without any further ado, here they are:
I’m also thinking about posting some of my favorite shots in the OP, and if I get enough traffic through here I might showcase a certain shot in the OP as a “Pic of the Week” as voted by people. Thoughts?
The last two shots, holy…beautiful! As for advice, aperture, even if you’re trying to include something in the background. I’m referring to the first photo. Usually, a photo should only have a single point of focus. Other than that, some photos look a little underexposed for me, but that just might be difference of opinion.
Thanks for the advice Homie!
I see what you mean about aperture. I’ll try to take that account but I can’t seem to find a good way to have 2 focal points. For example, I was trying to show the 360 Challenge Stradale cruising in the rain, and have the fireworks bursting in the background. As for underexposed, I’m trying to play with the settings. I feel like I can never find a happy median - the shot is either too dark or too light.
I also agree with iHomie about the exposure. The thing that is making it difficult for what you are trying to do is that the fireworks are way to far out in the distance, so its actually putting everything in focus. If something where side by side then it would be easier to achieve. Keeping it to one focus point is usually the best bet, there can only be one star!
None the less, great gallery. I like the rain shots of the Ferrari, as well as the Cinque emblem
Thanks for the feedback guys. I appreciate it. Here’s a brief update to hold people over until I can get some more time. I love the Ferrari 458 Italia - it has been since they announced it and the only thing that comes close to challenging it is a Pagani Zonda 760RS. So, with that said, here’s some shots of my favorite supercar:
Firstly, I’d like to apologize for the delay between posting. I’m trying to keep this updated as often as possible, however life has a way of getting in the way. Between work, school and family (it was Canadian Thanksgiving last weekend) I’ve had next to no time to play. I’m sure I’m one of the few Forzatographer’s that has been too distracted with photography to actually race and play the game. I have only completed 10% of the campaign.
The second reason why I’m posting such a large batch of pictures is because this thread has hit 400 views. Outside of the Horizon 2 Wishlist thread, this is the largest amount of views and responses I’ve had to my own work. I’m interested to see what people think of this update. To summarize - lots of pictures to make up for lack of update and support; extra large batch for 400 views. Please give me some sort of feedback; it can only make me better.
Finally, here’s an experimental shot I did with a Ferrari 458 Italia. I’d be very interested in hearing some feedback on this one: FERRARI - 2009 458 Italia (9) by vAcesWild
The rear GTO badge - move the left of the frame to just outside the car. Lets the viewer know this is the end of what I’m looking at.
Huracan - for a shot like that, you should move the light thats at the front of the car to the back by driving forward or turning around.
The rest of the photos are great. The settings could be tweaked a little, but you’ll figure it out with practice.
The last shot - seems a little dark on the front for a focal point. You should try that shot on the side that the sun is hitting. Or that might be a shadow looking at it again. Avoid the shadows!
