Use The Idea Of A Forza Edition To It's Full Potential

Forza Edition in Forza as a whole has SO much potential, and could also be beneficial to both the players, and the developers. Let me explain why

Ever since they started making Forza Edition cars actually unique from their standard counterparts in FH4 (and FM7 later in it’s life cycle), I felt like it’s become missed potential and that they have this potential gold mine of content if they would just utilize them more. Since the release of FH5 in 2021, we’ve had only FOUR Forza Edition cars or other unique special edition cars added to the game (technically six if you include the OPI Edition Ford GT and OREO edition Pagani Zonda); the MINI FE, the Dodge Viper AE, The Ford Supervan DME, and the Chevrolet Camaro FE.

Adding Forza Edition cars more often would not only give the players cars that would be different enough in terms of performance to be considered a “New” car, but it would also give Turn 10 and Playground Games something they can use their creative visions on to create a car that either feels genuinely fresh and new, but they could also use this to give players a compromise if they have difficulties with sourcing a highly requested car, saving them both money, time, and resources while still giving us something to use.

This can either be used in a similar way to The Crew, where they had these super distinct and interesting special editions of existing cars, or they could do this like Gran Turismo where they could create their own race cars from existing cars in the game to add to certain spec series in Forza Motorsport.

Here are some examples that I have for some Forza Edition cars that they could create:

  • 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse Forza Edition (GT Race Car for either the Forza GT3 or Forza GT2 Series in FM)
  • 2004 SUBARU Impreza WRX STI Forza Edition (WRC Car)
  • 2020 Toyota GR Supra Forza Edition (Another GT Car or even a Supercar)
