Update theme - Honda

One of Japan’s big three manufacturers, I think Honda could use a little bit more love. This would be the occasion to bring more compact sports cars, from the S660 kei car to the classic Civic RS, but also Japanese touring cars such as the NSX GT500 or the Spoon Civics.

Thus a suggestion for 8 cars, balancing New and Returning

  • 1974 Honda Civic RS
  • 2005 Honda #18 TAKATA DOME NSX (GT500) / and/or 2005 Honda #8 ARTA NSX (GT500)
  • 2014 Honda #2 Castrol Honda Civic WTCC / and/or 2014 Honda #5 Zengo Motorsport Civic WTCC
  • Honda 1300 Coupe
  • Honda Civic 5th gen EJ Coupe / or 1999 Honda Civic Si Coupe
  • Honda Civic E-AT Spoon Sports Group A (or any other Spoon Sports Civic you can get your hands on)
  • Honda CR-Z Mugen RZ / or 2011 Honda CR-Z EX
  • Honda S660

Featured Tour

  • Street Cred (Spotlight: Honda Civic 5th EJ Coupe, or alternate)
The Honda Civic has been an icon both on the streets and in movies, relatively cheap, with extensive aftermarket support, the Civic and some of its JDM competitors are very popular with budding mechanics and street racing enthousiasts.
Featuring Japanese tuners from the 90s and early 2000s, with a high PI limit to A or S class for extensive modifications

  • Japanese Touring (Spotlight: Honda NSX GT500)
Super GT, also known as the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship or JGTC, features highly modified grand tourers reminiscent of the FIA Group GT1 era, with tons of aero, plenty of power, and the occasional presence of foreign manufacturers.
Featuring any GT500 car, or one-make series if none other are available

  • Small Size, Big Fun (Spotlight: Honda CR-Z)
Due to high population density, Japanese manufacturers know how to make small cars, and due to the development of hybrid powertrain and highly fuel efficient engines, they’ve had the carbon credits to spare to develop sport versions of even their smallest cars.
Featuring sporty small cars from the 2000s and 2010s, such as hot hatches, kei cars, or other sport compacts, up to C or B class

  • Japanese Classics (Spotlight: Honda 1300)
While Europe was developping supercars and the US pioneering the muscle car, Japanes manufacturers took on the challenge and went against both, from the sleak curves of the Toyota 2000GT and Nissan Z that could rival a Ferrari 250 GTO in a beauty pageant, to the angular and aggressive design of the Celica GT and KPGC110 Skyline GT-R that wouldn’t be out of place in a muscle car show.
Featuring Japanese road cars from the 60s, 70s and 80s, preferably coupes and roadsters only, with a PI limit to E or D class

Possible tracks:

  • Suzuka alternate layouts, as Suzuka was originally Honda’s test track, used in the developpment of cars like the NSX. We could add the West Circuit, and alts of the West and GP circuits with the 200R chicane.
