I hope both 2007 Honda Civic Type-R and 2006 Honda Civic Si Coupe be in motorsport, its my favorite 2000s gen of Civic and would be a shame it be outside of Forza Motorsport
Honestly I am surprised that the FN2 got removed from the latest Motorsport since it is in the Horizon 5.
However I hope to see it back into the latest game slightly updated with Honda GP Kit trim and maybe the Mugen Version from Forza 3/4. Of course I would love to see FD2 and Mugen FD2 RR as well.
Here’s some examples of the Civic Type R FD2 with body mods (please consider adding these as visual customization options for it if/when added to the game):
I agree with the reply above, like yes the hatchback would be fantastic to add… it would need a remodel before it returns as the kits for it as-is do not do it justice at all.
While the FD2 sedan could work as it would have more modification options, even used by Spoon for racing
I’m writing as a long-time Forza player and Honda enthusiast to strongly request the inclusion of the 2007–2010 Honda Civic Type R (FD2) in a future Forza Motorsport or Horizon update.
Currently, the FN2 Civic Type R is featured — but from an enthusiast and performance standpoint, it’s the lesser-known and less respected variant. The FD2 is the true performance model, equipped with:
A 225hp K20A engine
6-speed LSD transmission
Independent rear suspension
A more rigid chassis and proven track performance
In the U.S., enthusiasts overwhelmingly prefer the FD2, to the point where many convert their FA5 Civic Si models to FD2 spec — including bumpers, badges, suspension, and more. The FN2, on the other hand, is rarely sought after and not even considered a performance benchmark by most in the Honda community here.
We understand that the FN2 was more accessible in Europe, but Forza prides itself on being a celebration of car culture — and the FD2 is a huge piece of it that’s been left out. It’s a fan-favorite in the JDM and North American communities alike, and it deserves a spot in your lineup.
Thank you for your hard work and for giving players a voice in shaping the game. We hope to see the FD2 roaring down Maple Valley or Tsukuba soon!
Best regards,
A Car Enthusiast & Forza Motorsport Fan
