Pay no attention to stuff like this wollypog2: it’s just background noise. Every so often, some X1 type who doesn’t really understand the issue will drop in and attempt to set us poor ignorant X360 types straight, usually by offering some incredibly original bit of advice like “Get an XBox One!” or something along those lines (cuz, like, no has ever told us that – ever!).
You know that one guy (yeah, that guy) who has no clue what’s going on, yet will barge right in on a conversation to offer his two cents whether anyone wants it or not, or for that matter, whether it even makes sense or not? Yeah, kinda like that.
I can understand some of the complaints from the X360 peeps, T10 again failed to manage expectations (even though some of the ‘facts’ people are stating here are just plain wrong). End user communication was never one of their strengths, and it didn’t change. And some of the missing features like wheelspin or rewards cant be excused because its lastGen.
However, people just have to accept the fact that MS wants them to move on to the new platform. You cant blame them for that, the old platform is nearly 10 years old, and developing for both platforms requires lots of additional resources. And nextGen is currentGen by now, 1 year after its release, so its definitely time to move on.
So looks like T10 would have been better by not releasing a last gen version of FH2, the gaming world is weird, isnt it?..
Seems to me a lot of emotions are running wild here and people need to chill out and wait for bugs etc to be fixed things that can’t or won’t changed could be due to licensing problems or any other number of things.
I have seen many people touting GTAV as the epitome of 360 greatness.
Wait until it comes out next month on the new hardware. It will blow the last gen version out of the water, mark my words. And the rush of titles to the new hardware is just getting started.
If you keep holding on to the 360, you’re going to be left behind.
For all the “we’re loyal customers” business you guys spout off, you curiously overlook the FACT that most of us millions of XBox One owners also owned 360s. I owned four of them.
We are loyal customers too, and honestly, it wouldn’t pain any of us for 360 development to stop completely so the developers and publishers can focus on current gen hardware instead of the ten year old vastly underpowered dinosaur.
Video games are luxury items. There is no unalienable right to play video games. You want the newest and best? You have to pay for it.
Well then, if you want us all to get an Xbone, why don’t you buy all the other millions of people that have an Xbox 360 a $500 new console, eh? Does it look like we’re all millionaires? Well, we’re not. Maybe some of us have bills to pay or have recently lost their job. The fact that you have the money to buy an Xbox One doesn’t mean we all do. Now please leave with your ‘better-than-you-because-i-have-next-gen’ attitude, there are enough of your type already.
This! I don’t give a crud how many 360’s you owned…or how you got them…some of us can’t afford an Xbox One right now. I’m so tired of you guys coming into these 360 posts and telling us how good you have it and that we need to basically shut up. Go find something else to do…
It’s pathetic isn’t it? They released it on 360 and took our money so for that reason alone they owe us an explanation at the very least. The game doesn’t work as advertised and I don’t even mean the extras that the xbox1 has, I’m talking about simple things like not being able to connect to multiplayer and game breaking glitches that need fixing. I’m sure we’d all like to get a new console but for many of us that’s not going to happen untill some time in the new year or beyond.
A little transparency is all that’s needed to calm things down, they shouldn’t have released it for the 360 if they weren’t going to at least patch the problems. I’m hoping they will but how would I know when they don’t talk about it. [Mod Edit - “Do not impersonate, harass, or defame Turn 10, staff members, or moderators.” - MM]
Hey Pal lets get a few things straight. While it is true that if gamers like myself choose to stick with the 360, we can’t expect next generation graphics and features. That’s fair enough. This is not about the loyalty of xboxone gamers vs xbox360 gamers. The reason I haven’t gotten the new system yet is because im still enjoying my 360, and by the way, I can buy a new system whenever im ready, and im not. Don’t blame 360 loyalist for sticking to a system that they love so much. Oh and Microsoft doesn’t seem to be done with it either, they just announced a new 500gb harddrive for the 360 plus they still are selling consoles. The things that most people are complaining about are features that should have and could have been put in this game but weren’t and the fact that the game was misrepresented. And while playing video games is not an inalienable right, we do have a right to get what we pay for.
Getting cheesed off with all the “go buy an xbox one” comments. Some of us have families and bills and cant afford an xbox one atm. So 1) your comments just make you sound stuck up and rich and 2) it must be so nice getting what you want if you not got anything constructive to say shut up
Great minds and all that. People that are on 360 are there for 1 of 2 reasons cant afford an xb1 or friends that still there they want to race. We all say the same wheres the love
Back to my OP. At least that is some acknowledgement. I do agree with PHISHFINGER23, that some transparency would calm things. Sumo said they are working on bugs. FM Twitter says they are looking into the photos. That’s something at least.
I wish they would just post something and give it to us straight right here in the forums. What are you guys fixing? Are you reconsidering DLC or is the decision final. Silence is not cool. Some direct answers would be appreciated, please.
We are not going to have this back and forth bickering over versions and who can afford what. Several of your fellow posters are now on holiday from the forums, some of them permanently, because they let their emotions get the better of them and posted things they should not have.
We the xbox360 players as been said want what previous games had and console can handle. You want the arguments to stop give the 360 some dlc, rewards loyalty cars. All things we had before and the console can handle
If I had to guess, it probably comes down to something like this:
Turn 10 produces the models for the game
Sumo/ Playground just drop them in.
Turn 10 are currently only making models on a fidelity level designed for Xbox One, and they don’t see any reason to backtrack and make new models designed for Xbox 360.
Therefore, instead of having to produce two different sets of content as DLC, they’re only going to produce one.
It’s logical but it doesn’t excuse them from not warning X360 buyers in advance/ claiming that they would get DLC.
DLC doesn’t necessarily have to be new models. There are all kinds of vehicles that are already modeled from FM4 and FH1 that they could offer us that we would love to have in the game. It can be done.
There are 5 cars that were first introduced in Forza Horizon, carried over to Forza Motorsports 5, and have now been left off the Forza Horizon 2 roster.
2012 - Ferrari F12 Berlinetta
2011 - Citroen DS3 Racing
2012 - Infiniti IPL G Coupe
2012 - Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged
1973 - Mazda RX3
I am absolutely baffled as to why these cars have been left out. I had been thinking that they might be the “free” cars from future DLC packs.
Thanks to ManteoMax and his awesome spreadsheet for helping me find these 5 cars.
