Update from Sumo Digital (360)

Hey guys, for what it’s worth I just wanted to share an update Sumo Digital posted to their Facebook page in response to a comment they received.

Posted comment: “The Game is great for most parts, but please explain why we don’t het DLC or no Forza rewards support? Plus all the bugs like invisible walls are really bad. And why can’t we smash through fences? This was possible in FH1.”

Sumo Digital Reply: “Hi Maikel, sadly we cannot comment on decisions outside of our control, I’m afraid. As for the issues you are experiencing, rest assured we are aware of a number of bugs/glitches and are actively seeking to resolve them as soon as possible.”

Maybe a ray of hope for some of the glitches anyway…? It also shows that they’re under a bit of a gag order by the powers that be (Turn 10 or Microsoft or whoever)…

I’ve talked to Sumo off and on over the past month or so and they have not been allowed to say anything. Even at conventions they could only talk about and promote the Xbox One version which they had no hand in.

Wonder if their hand will be held the whole time and be slapped away from fixing anything on our version. Sad, seems like they are the fall guys & can’t do anything about it.

Woa wait a second here, I didn’t use 1 profanity or even allude at one. The only thing my post stated was about greedy corporate businesses trying to push consumers to buying products either they can’t afford or don’t care to purchase.

I didn’t slander anyone, your MOD editing is getting a little redundant and personally I take offense for being SHUT UP like others have been because T10 doesn’t like hearing negative feed back!!!

How are they scumbags for promoting their new console? What is wrong with that? They didn’t have to make a 360 version. They made it to keep players who haven’t upgraded yet happy, clearly it hasn’t worked.

Point in example!!! A X1 user can say scumbags long as he is questioning me, but I can’t say it out of freedom of speech on how I feel consumers are being treated by greed & the forcing of a product.

I’m done with this crud. Delete my account for all I care, this silencing pushes me over the edge!!

Because they were not even allowed to promote the version they developed. Why should Sumo have to promote a game developed by Playground Games?

You’re disappointed, that’s perfectly understandable. That disappointment does not grant you free license to repeatedly violate the ToS on this site. Please do not do it again.

All feedback is welcome, including negative, so long as it meets with the ToS we all agree to when posting here.

Continuously referring to the Developer/Publisher of the game and the owner and operator of this site with pejorative terms such as ‘greedy’ is defamatory and trolling. You can do better.

Thanks for clearing up my post was deleted because of the word “greedy”

I know it’s definitely not good morals they are displaying by pushing consumers to purchase certain products only.

What else could I have said to describe these tactics that have been set forth?? Only 1 comes to mind and I won’t say it again for I’d like this post to stay up!!

Wow, I think I need to read the ToS again. “Greedy” is inappropriate? After Turn 10 split what used to be a season pass in to separate VIP and Car passes just to get twice as much money out of their customers, what word can we use? Not to mention all the over priced DLC that started with Forza 4 and went way overboard in Forza 5 and now is already starting to happen in Forza Horizon 2. I can understand the not swearing part but modding peoples posts pointing out obvious greed is more like censorship for the sake of stifling negative feedback.

Is that so? Funny how my thread didn’t get approved.

It seems like these guys are happy to take 360 owners money but not so happy to give any details about a fix. I just hope that’s not because they’re planning not to patch the 360.

If I’ve missed the information then I take it back but I only see talk of the Xbox1.

I’m not the only moderator on this site and I am not the only moderator that approves posts. If you had a thread pending in the moderation queue, I certainly did not see it, nor did I take any action on it.

Your thread was approved and merged into the official “Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox 260” thread stickied at the top of the forums.

Well it now looks like Sumo Digital has edited that comment:

This says to me either they were told that they shouldn’t be covertly saying “Hey, it’s not our fault” and changed it…or maybe wheels are turning and somewhere ears are opening and changing minds about DLC for us. Either way, take it for what it is…

Oh, and to those using profanity or childish terminology…stop…you’re only hurting our cause here. Be smart and tactful with your replies, please.

I am going to step up and defend Warbird here. T10 has demonstrated their greed quite well. When 60% of you dcl packs are cars that were DLC or included in a previous game that runs on the same engine( both Physics and graphics) at a higher per unit cost, that is greed. It costs far less to port a car to a new game on the same engine that is does to develop new content, yet we have to pay more.

You’re defending the wrong person because I said nothing about the ‘G’ word…I started this post as an update that Sumo Digital is working on bugs, that is all.
