Update 16.0 Overview - BMW Month | Jan. 6 content update

I get this update covers work from December and not much gets done in this peruod.

But really, its 2 (highly desirable) race cars, the Lmdh and M4 (which I absolutely love).

But man, they need to step on it in terms of increasing content and NEW content.

No mention of what is coming next month, but I bet another recycled track.

Also, a little disappointed not to get a BMW Driver Suit to go with the Lmdh car (like we got with Porsche).

Need more official driver suits

If they were going to feature Le Mans, they should have opened the Bugatti circuit. It may be a small thing, but adding more small track is better than no additional tracks at all.

I think so too!

There must be some kind of bigger-picture set of plans going on behind the scenes to time the bigger updates, because trickled content like this isn’t making any kind of sense.

You’d think they’d want to make a big splash to kickstart the new year and impress the wave of first-time players that were surely injected during the holidays.

Puzzling lack of fixes, and next to nothing to improve SP.

Excited to get two actually-new cars in the mix, but the rest is a dud.

How far in advance do you guys think these updates are worked on prior to being scheduled for release?

If on a month-to-month basis, then I’m guessing we had a skeleton crew working on this one during the holidays with most of the changes being simple content revisions that could’ve been scheduled way in advance.

But I obv have no idea how the backend works here.

On a singular positive note, I’m stoked for the GT-Multiclass hopper.

You can already vote on Update 18’s Featured Multiplayer Community Choice event, so that’s at least 2 months.

Cars and tracks take much longer so would be roadmapped or in pre-production at least 6 months before release.

From what we see, Max is the only one at turn 10 showing any signs of life. Maybe he is all that is left.

Wonder when voting closes prior to? Looks like that thread’s been up for 14 days and is still open, and I wonder how much of it actually influences development priorities. Is content decided at poll closing? If so, it’s not even two months…

Also, for the love of god, if this is the same E92 M3 scan from like 15 years ago mildly upscaled, I’m gonna laugh

At least it seems that there are no longer any staff making videos. The Forza YouTube channel is empty.

ā€œā€¦We’re also eager to hear your ideas for the cars, tracks and features you would like to see in future Forza Motorsport updates…
…If you encounter any issues…they can be reported on the Troubleshooting Hub…

Nothing we’ve seen so far has given me that impression.

Here we go!! Whoop :tada:

Great update with 11 new cars. I love the work of the team.

I was going to say the same thing, why didn’t it come with Michelin tires? I hope they fix them like the other cars that don’t have them either.

Why didn’t the M4 GT3 come with Michelin tires? I hope they fix it, just like other cars that don’t have Michelin tires.

Handling feels better. Ai isn’t as annoying. I’d say there’s been some improvements.

Gotta fix the RNG in Free play next tho. Gets tiring having to go into the Event setup every time to get the lap counter to adjust. Same goes for the car fuel and tire section.

Sounds like y’all mighta got confused on which 911 GT3 got updated tho. This 2007 GT3 sounds like it’s the one that got the update, not the 2021.

I see no audio improvement whatsoever on the 2021 GT3 road car. Still sounds flat, echoey and reverby in cockpit as if accelerating out of a bathtub.

What’s going on here?

No confusion here. The release notes say ā€œupdated cockpit audio only for the 2021 Porsche 911 GT3ā€, as it was a bug logged car. However, no improvement or change at all to the cockpit audio.
