Update 10.0

This is good news, IMO. It shows they are taking the time to address complaints and want to get down as many great fixes as possible with each update. It can be a complex and nuanced process - good that it’s coming in two chunks. I’m happy to wait although quite eager to see and hear the improvements.

Seems like the bare minimum to just keep the “live service” going.
We are nearing the 1 year mark and there hasn’t been a single update with some fleshed out or impactful content yet.
Removal of carXP was more of a bug fix than actual content.

No lasting addition to SP, no new game mode (drift, drag) and only half-baked endurance races that failed due to the poor AI and tire system.

Not even car packs.

Horizon 5 is still adding more new cars to the game with nearing the 3 year mark.

It still feels like the game came out 3 weeks ago and T10 tries to nail down post-launch content.

What would be considered impactful content?

I agree that they’ve spent the last 9 months fixing the mess that was the game’s launch.

You are being delusional.

First and foremost a career that lives up to its name.
There is still no content for SP players.

Other than that new modes like I mentioned that would offer alternatives in play.
Racing game grandpa Gran Turismo 2 had Rallye tracks for example. I don’t see why it shouldn’t be possible here.

1 new track would be a start.

Can’t even fill race lobbies so MP players aren’t really any better off.

So that means no new track again!!!?
I can’t stand that anymore.
For real, i’m full of anger now.

Lets see what Turn 10 had planned for this 2 part update. Hopefully its something meaningful.

As for update 9. This is the first update where I am going to miss out on one of the reward cars. Honestly I’m not bothered at all about missing the non enduro race events car. I don’t anticipate I’ll want to use it.

Why the community update blog is there too? Maybe one of the features promised in the blog is coming to this update? (Forza GT division rework?)

I’ve included the May blog in the past couple overview topics because it discusses projects in the works. The two bullet points there are to help readers refer to the official information about both near term and long term content for context about why not everything previously mentioned may be in the most recent update.

I’ve been enjoying the Vintage Le Mans prototypes lately, I want more of them too.

As much as I’d love to see the '24 Mustang in this game, I’m skeptical given the past few updates have relegated new/returning cars to being the FOMO rewards.

Not sure why they can’t just make new/returning cars available for purchase right after a new update drops. Or in the case of reward cars, once the time period to earn it expires, make it available to purchase regularly within the next update or two.

Parity with its predecessors should be a bare minimum at launch, never mind 10
Months in to its life, where the spit and polish should be applied before the studio moves on to its next gen project, 7 years after ending the predecessors development

T10 have always refrained from genuinely communicating with their players. Nothing new here and nothing seemingly will change even though they said they would.

Whatever happened to the quarterly updates @T10ManteoMax?

The people responsible had their temp contracts expire and didn’t pass the expectation on to the next victims.

Last one was in May right?

I’d expect another quarterly update in August

Yeah July is still a little early for the Quarterly. I’d expect late August to early September
