the game is beautiful and packed with features, but there’s a HUGE problem with managing under/oversteering with wheels.
I have the Logitech G29 and I’be tried tweaking from the default 900 all the way down to 270 degrees and when driving on anything but tarmac it becomes impossible to handle. Rally-events turns into a chore and drifting is no fun because it’s almost impossible to get control back because of the handling-issues, the car will just slide out of control.
Please look into this, you guys should have tested this better.
i cant even get the wheel to match mine lol when i put my wheel center the game veers left. i cant believe just how [Mod Edit - Hieronymus (Profanity removed.)] this game is on PC
If you don’t see a solution to your problem by searching for known wheel issues, create a report that the support or dev teams can use to assist you.
“when i put my wheel center the game veers left” is the problem, but more information is needed than that. Doesn’t say what wheel you have, what drivers and firmware you have, whether you’re using default settings or another saved wheel profile, etc. The more specific info you can provide, the better the chances are you’ll find a solution.
I submited a ticket about the season bonus FP not being rewarded. the agent lied to me & said it was fixed in the last update. I did the bonus last week but I didn’t get the FP for it. so the support page is just as useless.
I have an Xbox One X with a Fanatec Clubsport 2.0 set up with an older firmware update, (110) and V2.5 Clubsport pedals. I am not sure how these will work on a non fanatec wheel though.
Keep in mind that I have my game mode activated on my TV and the delay may be different from the delay you are getting and that will make a difference on how it feels.
The sound and picture delays can really change how the settings feel. If I turn off game mode the wheel feels totally different as in worse by being sluggish to what the car is doing versus with Game mode on…and if your lip sync is not matched with the sound, the audio cues can mislead you to what the car is actually doing…anyway here are my settings
*** also should point out that this is an arcade style setting with a soft/light wheel feeling. It is 2000% different than a FM7 feel but it is the best I have found to play this game so far. Any feedback is welcome as any info is a potential game changer for some players as they may be looking for that feel but could use some help getting there.
Wheel settings…(actually the same settings as FM7 on the wheel as only the in game settings change for my set up on FH4)
SENS…540
FF…30
SHO…10
ABS…67
LIN…off
DE…off
DRI…001
BRF…30
In game settings (control settings and press the X button for advanced settings )
Steering axis dead zone…0-100
Steering linearity…50
Acceleration axis dead zone…0-100
Deceleration axis dead zone…0-100
Clutch axis dead zone…15-90
E-brake axis dead zone…10-100
Vibration scale…60
Force feedback scale…50
Center spring scale…81
Wheel damper scale…2
Force feedback under steer…75
Force feedback minimum force…56
Wheel rotation angle…540
The handling feels way different than FM7 but it is a more arcadish style game. The precision in the driving is way different but once you get used to the handling feel it is a lot of fun to play.
******please post feedback if you try out these settings…what wheel and what system you are playing on. I am not sure how these settings will work for non Fanatec wheels though as there are several settings that are being done internally on the wheel that other wheels don’t have so this may change how the settings work for you.
the fact is. they dont give a damn about FFB. FH3. had none F7 is terrible at best. this is a console game were most of the buyers play with a controller
that goes for all turn 10 games. its a damn shame to. they the best racing games period just no wheel support.
if you want a good game with wheel support project cars 2 is great. F1 2018 is descent Assetto Corsa. but they dont have all the fun upgrading and car collecting.
i bought FH3 . i played about 3 hours trying to get T300rs to work at least half decent. FFB for the wheel just not there.
How do you change DoR on the G29 for FH4? I’ve seen many different settings posted, as well as videos and screenshots for FM7 and previous issues, however I can never find the settings in game when I look. The screen shots I’ve seen have the DOR in the advanced FFB settings, but mine simply doesn’t have the option.
I am also have an absolutely terrible experience with this game, I hope there will be some comunication/fixes coming soon otherwise I will be requesting a refund because the game for me is just unplayable on my wheel.
Its horrible, agreed. Ive tried so many different settings and ive compared the controller to the wheel back to back. The controller and wheels seem to run on completely different physics engines. The telemetry on the controller is accurate whereas the wheel telemetry inputs are always off. Althought the ffb may be bad I think it is the underlying way inputs are delivered thats is messed up, i held full lock to countersteering out of a slide on both the controller and the wheel and the wheel could not pull out of the slide at all until a full second or two of steering was applied and by then it immediately snapped out of control in the other direction. whereas the controller pulled it out of the slide right away
I got to play the game today and I had to stop it before I break everything around me.
The car started spinning around the moment I started. Without hitting a pothole, the car want to get to its own place. Where they have the new rocks barriers, that’s where the car want to go.
Is it that the Logitech Driving Force G29 doesn’t go well with the game? I’m planning to call Customer Service to get my $100 plus tax back.
I purchased Logitech Driving Force G29 and the STAND, EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 GAMING, 11G-P4-6696-KR, 11GB GDDR5X, iCX . All for that game.
They’re so into making the cars almost IMPOSSIBLE to drive
my son has a logitech G920. He is using the same settings he has for FH3 with Sim Settings, no assists and has no problems, other than having to adapt his driving style accordingly.
The force feedback is just great. Works and feels awesome here on T-GT wheel.
Please dont change anything on gamecode only because some dont know how to setup their wheels properly.
