Yeah right, special if it happend in different classes and playing environments, If I will preform this way at my job (I am an Industrial automation engineer) I will get fired… due to lack of solving issue i promised to solve a year before.
It’s a bug that had been solved many updates prior. You’d be surprised what can break coding in a game or piece of software. It’s NOT that difficult to do that especially if it’s a live service game like this where updates are constantly changing the game’s code.
Ironically, half the reason we are here is to help improve this. If we are to give proper feedback, a person has to be professional and stated properly. Things like it being on PC or Xbox as vague as that sounds can help with streamlining development of a fix as they now know where to focus at.
Like the other person in this thread, they specifically noted that the game JUST had this issue start up again as of this update, which is a very important thing to note.
Sorry But I can’t comply with this… I am 52 in age and had not so many issues with all kind o things as in this zo called gen Z or above 2000 Ara. Everything in all ages where difficult but at least in the old days we solved rather then see what happens.
But for me, the bug IS NOT SOLVED since I did get in to this, and that is unacceptable since you are saying that it was solved MANY UPDATES PRIOR!!!
What will you do about it?
Quick fix until they fix it
Join practice - quit practice - join practice = fuel correct.
Repeat if you change cars.
I also got this bug in practice on Xbox series X, even the % you choose when you begin the practice it’s at 100%, but I you leave the practice and then select restart the practice you’ll get the % you’ve choosed.
Not playing it anymore so I won’t be annoyed about it
I believe this was introduced with the latest update 13. Normally after joining a lobby online or entering into a new event in the single player we would set up our fuel load, correct? And then say we’d jump into practice. After getting through the loading screen and upon getting spawned on the track, looking at the fuel gauge i noticed the fuel load wasn’t as much as i set it up to be. So it basically just defaults to whatever the game decides, as if i hadn’t set it myself beforehand. Not sure if it’s just a visual bug or not.
Platform: PC/Steam
Noticed after the update, that when entering a multiplayer race and setting the fuel level. For example, before practice I set fuel level to 7 laps.
I enter practice and fuel tank is now full. If I exit practice, amd rejoin, the fuel level is now what I set.
Same applies on a situation where I set fuel level at 3 laps for qualifying, and after qualifying I go back into practice, changing the fuel level back to 7 laps.
When I enter practice it now has 3 laps( what I had set it to for qual.) Same fix. If I exit practice and rejoin , fuel level is now what I set it at. A minor inconvenience, yet a seemingly simple fix.
Yep, fuel is all screwy now…
Since the last update, a car’s fuel level will always be 100% after starting practice, no matter what you set it to initially before joining practice.
You then have to quit practice, set the fuel level again and restart practice. Even then, the fuel level will not be exactly what you set it to. The fuel level is absolutely erratic and it’s just annoying.
I’m playing on xbox series s.
expected behavior:
After joining a lobby, the user has the option to select a specific fuel level before starting practice. If the user has set a specific fuel level via “car - tires and fuel” that fuel level is set as the initial fuel level if the user starts practice.
Video showing the erratic initial fuel level:
FIX THE PRACTICE FUEL!!!
And make it so the AI actually has the amount of fuel they need for the laps in the race.
We are closing out this issue. The developers have noted this issue as Fixed as of Update 14 on 11.04.24
