TURN10 owes me AU$6-65 for "Long Beach" DLC

What is going on TURN10?
In the Store, “Long Beach Booster Pack” is available for AU$6-65.
However, you state “is free as a Content Update” (refer) Long Beach free Content Update
I guess what it comes down to is you owe me AU$6-65
I will be expecting a Full Refund sometime in the next six months.

Addendum:
Rang Microsoft, am receiving a “courtesy” Refund of AU$6-65.
Was informed by Microsoft ‘Long Beach’ is only available free in Content Update to USA. (Evidently other Regions have to pay).
(If this is in fact the case, TURN10 should have stated it in their News (Long Beach free Content Update)).

Note: From what Microsoft told me, Content Updates are Regionalised.
After I downloaded the “Long Beach Booster Pack”, FM5 then decided that I needed the 1.8GB Content Update (or whatever size it was).

Fact to check on: (May be Updated/Altered at later stage).
I believe I saw on on the LIVE Store the “Road America Booster Pack” (which I haven’t bought) yet I have the ‘Road America’ track in Game.
(Something strange is going on I think!).

P.S. For anyone reading this or wondering, I live in Australia.

The track is free.

The booster pack which is 5 cars is free for car pass owners or $6.95 for other users.

Actually, you misread:

“Need some new rides to go with that new track? The Long Beach Booster Pack features five amazing cars to add to your collection, including the 1977 Ford Coyote Gilmore77, the 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale, the 1956 Jaguar D-Type, the 1998 Mercedes-Benz AMG Mercedes CLK GTR, and the 1971 Ferrari #2 Ferrari Automobili 312 P. This five-car pack will be available at no additional charge to Forza Motorsport 5 Car Pass owners.”

Notice, the five-car pack is only available at no charge for Car Pass owners. The part you quoted simply referred to the Long Beach track which was automatically added to your console when it installed the title update. Furthermore, if you click through the Xbox Marketplace and fail to heed the warnings that you will be charged, that is on you.

Looks like someone just found the stylization options!

I live in Australia and if MS told you that they were wrong.

It is very straightforward.

The track is free and part of the update ie the auto patch. You do not need the booster pack. The track is free in Australia.

Road America was free and part of one of last months update.

The booster packs should just be renamed car pack, that is all they are.

Im in Australia and long beach was free the track and cars as I paid $64 for the car pass when the game was first released so the cars are free to those people that have up to now committed to the car pass .

its a good way of thanking us car pass holders for our dedication to the dlc of this game .

I guess you dont have the car pass im sure if you read before you paid you would all ready know that for non car pass holders the track is free but the booster cars are 6.65.

Lesson to be learned read before you commit to anything .

Eduardo and ArtWebber have it right, and I am in Australia too. No problems here and the descriptions and articles by T10 make it very simple and clear.

Lol at this topic

Hi I am the real world. You will now be destroyed. BOOM!!!

On a lighter note. I didn’t get the season pass and pay for everything individually. I’m still happy with what I’m getting from Turn 10. It’s all quality.

You’ll be very disappointed, because there’s no way you’ll get that refund. You misinterpreted the description, anyone that carefully reads would know the Booster pack includes the cars whereas the regular pack only includes the map.

Didn’t he say he was getting a “courtesy” refund? I’ll have to remember that next time I don’t read something properly;)

If microsoft was doing a " courtesy refund " alot of people that dont like the car packs after buying them would be after that " refund " lol .

I have to admit I laughed, sorry but MS/ T10 don’t owe you anything. This is entirely on you for not reading the description properly, had you just started the game after the update you would have realised that the track was given in the update not in the booster pack.

But, the way you wrote the post with such a sense of righteousness gave me and probably a few others a good chuckle.

He also says that everybody outside U.S.A. has to pay for content updates, which is a load of rubbish.
