The toyota ts040 can run omly 3 laps in le mans. It’s unbelievable how ignorant some people by turn 10 are. At release of the game lot of people wrote about the issue. I didn’t test the mazda 747b supercar but I bet this car can run much more. Not enough that is 10 sec faster. That have nothing to to do game balance. Lot of people only shaking their head.
The p class is absolutely zero balanced. If someone by turn have a interest that whe have fun races which all lmp cars I mean modern lmp cars than fix that issues, and give the cars fear chances what fuel consumption belong. It’s not fun anymore. I want try dlc toyata which I have paid extra only to see that the cars is no competitive.
I can’t understand that. All this fuel consumption issues give me the feeling that nobody really have an interest to fix that. Or did testers run only 3 lap races. And for all brown noise fraction. There is no single argument to explain me that a 530 ps toyota petrol engine need more fuel than mazda rotary engine with 900ps or whatchever from 1991. And the toyota ts040 runs in real 10 to 11 laps…more than the mazda in 1991.
Again a new content update but no fix for missing class for some cars like the koenigsegg one or the 1990 chevy indy car. Please fix that issues. If the reason that the cars are two dominant like the koenigsegg in the hypercar class than give us the option that whe can run identical cars which helps in case of the 1990 indycar and the 1988 f1 car.
The fuel consumption problem with the Toyota Hybrid is a known issue and is being investigated. In software development, we call this a bug.
Bugs are an unfortunate byproduct of software development. We try to catch and fix them all, but sometimes they slip through. It doesn’t make the software creators ignorant.
First off I want to say thanks for communicating. One of my biggest complaints about T10 is a severe lack of communication which to me is one of them most important aspects of customer service. I fully understand from personal experience that there is a delicate line to walk as it’s very easy to say the wrong thing and end up leading the community to believe one thing but deliver another(Kaz making promises for GT5/6 that never materialized). However simply acknowledging there is a problem and it’s being investigated goes a long way towards calming the community.
That said its just not on the Toyota, it’s all cars and I think it just is amplified by that specific model. If I’m burning through an entire tank when there’s only 10-15% gone off my tires, there’s a problem with the way it’s being calculated. As an extreme example: on an Indy endurance race I’m pitting every 16-17 laps but it looks as if I could finish the entire race with room to spare on a single set if tires.
I’m not sure this would help, I think there’s a deeper underlying issue with how the performance numbers are created because the 908 and the TS040 really should be walking away from everything if we’re talking about raw speed.
I believe the downforce levels in the game are extremely flawed and I can only assume that’s where some of the performance head-scratchers are coming from. When you look at tuning we only have access to front and rear aero and if it truly is that basic the older cars (which are exponentially less aero efficent) are just benefiting from massive wings and the newer cars aren’t able to reap the true benefits of their underfloor (where the bulk of their downforce is generated) and efficiency.
With that said, there’s no real solution apart from gather wind tunnel data which is highly secretive and if they were to get it themselves thousands of dollars per-hour.
It might be a problem the development team is already aware of, or it might not be. If it is, it’s already entered into a bug database, given a priority based on severity and risk relative to other bugs being tracked, and reviewed by the team.
If it is a bug that’s already been reported, there’s really no sense in reposting it, or asking when it will be fixed. It may in due course be fixed in a content update, or it may not be, depending on priority.
You might also consider avoiding using ALL CAPS or language such as “WHEN THE HELL DO YOU PLAN ON FIXING…” and the like. Not helping.
Jonk - would like to thank you for the communication, something T10 needs to to better and good to see your efforts in this regard.
Having said that - the EVO turbo upgrade issue is far from new, in fact existed back in FM5 and it is understandable that people get frustrated when they keep appearing game after game. Having said that…, can’t fault you as far as the tone of the post went and people should be at least respectful when they post.
There is no way TURN 10 have tested or raced with the LMP1 in Forza 6 as the LMP1 cars will not do 4 laps at lemans with running out of fuel !!! This NEEDS to be fixed NOW their are NO excuses for letting something big like this “fuel problem” happen from a triple A game like Forza 6. Turn 10 needs to listen to the community with problem with their games… also where are the racing class in the game ? e.g. only TCC,GT and multi class racing ??? Also How the F##K can a HUMMER H1 use less fuel per lap at Le Mans than an LMP1 car ??? The HUMMER will do 18-20 laps at Le Mans on 1 tank of fuel and the LMP 1 cars can only do 4 laps on one tank of fuel ???
As I have seen a similar issue down in the ‘little leagues’ where say, the Chevy Monte Carlo cannot do ten laps of Rio without running out of fuel, the thought did strike me that somewhere along the line someone has got fuel tank capacity muddled between litres and gallons.
There should be a subdivision in P and R classes - P1, P2, R1, R2, R3… Kinda like Forza 4, actually. Anyhow, it’s nice to see the staff working on the TS040. Keep up the good work mates.
