Tuning Drift Cars

In need of help tuning my drift cars. i used to think i had my tuning down until others started to give me advice on how to tune. That honeslty messsed me up because now I dont really remember how to tune my cars correctly since ive been told to do pretty much everything. I know how to choose my upgrades but when it comes to tuning my drift cars I’m a mess. I would like to know how to properly tune my cars so that I can make them even better. Also i know that there’s a “formula” that some use. Im not down with that so pls don’t tell me about it. I prefer to do it the old fashion way when you used to feel out the car to see if thats what you like rather than using this formula. any and every advice is welcomed. Thank you!

I can tell you how I set my cars up but that might not get the best results for you.

Everyone will tune their car’s separately. And there is a formula out there, but it doesn’t tune the entire car. The formula I have, and have used on several occasions including on live stream is a formula that balances the car out evenly. Which is to your springs, dampening, rebound/bump settings. The thing that will be messing is your alignment, tires, gears, and everything else. You can still feel by tuning the car outright yourself.

The next question would be how are you wanting to drift? Are you going for points, angle, speed, grip, ect? I usually tend to tune for points which can make it harder to tandem with because some cars can be slower, or faster depending on the cars.

Are you looking for specific classes? The class can make a huge difference, and is mainly decided on which tires you run. You can have a drift car for every class, from D to S2 if you really wanted, and some will make X Class drifters. Why? Because they can.
