Almost done with the build/tune. Anybody want to check it out? I would love the feedback.
I set it up to be more then a grip tune. It holds its own on the straights and handles curves very well. I ran 10 races last night. Placed 1st and 2nd every race.
Enjoy!
Done with it for now. I just did an overwrite with the new version. Worked out alot of the over steer and tamed the back end a little better.
I ran it around spa to test and pulled a high 2:20 with a good amount of room left. Not my best track but smoked my PB apparently. Placed 1st in 3 lobby races afterward. Im pretty happy with it now. Let me know what you all think if you have the time.
I’ll check it out later mate, looking forward to it.
Thanks bud. Let me know what you think if you get the time. Im having alot of fun with it.
Hi, sorry for they delay, took me a while to get a chance.
Not sure how much use my opinion will be, the main thing I realised is how much I currently suck at S class
I’ve been working up through the classes since I started learning to drive without assists (using rivals mode), and I’m half way through A class at the moment, not in the S groove at all.
That said, I ran a few laps at Alps and Prague, and I like the feel of the car, it didn’t do anything surprising, seemed well balanced, turning response was good, I certainly didn’t light up any LBs, but that’s totally down to my driving rather than the car.
I’ll give it a better try once I get my S-class game on, but in the meantime hopefully some of the other guys will be able to give you some more detailed feedback.
Hey Paul. Thanks for trying it out. I appreciate it. Well balanced, and good turning response is definitely good to hear. It doesnt stick like glue like a couple cars and it certainly isnt the fastest in a straight line but the car holds its own very well in both of those aspects. Hopefully I will get a few more responses. Thanks again.
It’s a very nice car. I see you went anti establishment and went for acceleration and speed.
It held its own longbeach (east?) the one with the hairpin and normal start finish line. I never clocked out a proper lap not quite getting the first and second 90 degree turns. I compared it against a establishment grip set up and your accel and speed wins out in my hands. I can’t wait to get back in it and have a proper go and nail the turns and braking
I find it a bit understeer(y). But I’m used to a 836hp 2013 viper that with throttle or gear change rotates the car.
I ran spa. But the best I could do was 2:22. Smoked your f50 though first half but the I never was able to figure out how to rotate the car from stavelot to chicane and lost tons of time there and at blanchimont. So I would say 2:20s are definately out ther to be had and maybe more.
I wonder if softer front arbs would help? But I guess the viper is creating a style of driving for me and its not quite suiting it. After my race in the viper I will try to adapt to the car. (I was scared if I did some of my muscle memory would get lost and I mess up my race. Lol).
I like your clk!!! What track have you built it for. I was scanning your leaderboards but between your viper and f50 times I didn’t find much.
It’s is a very nice lobby car good accel (matched your f50) good turn in. Understeer on throttle exit for me as I’m expecting the the tail to come round and it catches me out of sorts. After my race I will drop my normal TCS on and see if that helps- as I see that is how you raced it at longbeach and give a good proper run for my best time in it.
What track did you tune it on so I can have a go at that one as well!
Thanks for the feedback bud! Glad you enjoy the car! I tuned it on spa. I was pulling low 2:20s pretty consistently with it. I believe my best was 2:20.1xx. As far as comparing times, all mine aside from alps and prague are set while racing. I always test cars in tuning and never in rivals. I have used it on tons of tracks now in lobby and have been at least 1st or 2nd on all the medium tracks. Ill try to run it around spa this afternoon if I get time if you want to race it.
But yes, I built it to have enough handling to keep up with almost anything in corners but also gave it enough grunt so that nothing with a grip build can pull away at the very least. I never really make grip builds, only lobby tunes. I also use no assists so it is set up for that. Going from the power viper to that, you can probably get on the gas even more then you think coming out of corners. That may give you some more rotation.
But I will be re-adjusting my ARBs when I get time. I think you are right on that completely. Maybe this afternoon as well. Ill leave a note here when it is done.
If you like cars that have a ton of balls but are capable when driven right, try my S-Class Shelby Daytona Coupe. It actually handles really decent, but it has over 900hp so a gentle touch is needed. That is another car that after I gave it some time can be really capable in lobbies on quite a few tracks.
Thanks again for the feedback and trying it out!
Hey bus will give it a go… try mine. Its in r class.
