Transition period of the hopper lobbies

If you come from Yas Marina and get into the next lobby you have no time left to qualify, there are then at most 2 minutes left and that is not enough, please change that immediately. TCR HOPPER LOBBY

I have to fight against META cars so unfortunately I need this.

Thought those hoppers were supposed to be balanced.

What is balanced about this game? These cars are Audi link & Co Hyundai. Try driving the Peugeot against the cars, it’s really no fun.

Yeah they went way overboard with the practice time reduction. There’s never enough time to calculate your fuel load, tire strategy, qualify, and then also practice a bit with the compound you’re starting the race with in order to not outbrake yourself at t1 and cause a crash.

They should set it at 10mins a nice 66% reduction from pre update 9.

10 minutes transition time is perfect, you can drive the 3 laps and maybe adjust something else. That’s why it needs to be changed. I came into a lobby earlier where 4 people out of 17 had a time :joy: I just thought I’d get out of here quickly. Qualification is part of every motorsport, no matter what it is.

You know. I bet if you qualified 1st and finished 1st 10 races in a row, starting at 4999, you’d hit 5000. It’s entirely possible by failing to qualify you’re holding yourself back :open_mouth:

I’ve won 20 races in a row at 4999, and still never hit 5000. It’s just too far out of reach.

My main concern is that I don’t want to drive a meta car, I’m too ambitious. I drive a Peugeot on principle, it’s not as fast as the others, but I always make it into the top 5-10 and without qualifying I’m a bit lost.

It’s not about becoming S500. I fell from S4980 to S4933 anyway. Too few wins and well, we don’t need to talk about the penalty system anymore. It’s just kind of weird.

I like the shorter wait between races.
So far, I’ve been able to join more races in less time with this new format.
The time for practice is solo & offline on your own time, not making everyone else wait.

What i merely suggest is that it’s possible that doing perfect qualys is the only way to get to 5000.

At this point it’s not really something I want to strive for anymore. It’s way too boring to start first and be alone for 7-8 minutes.

I want the practice time, but I get that more-experienced players don’t.

I think the right solution is to change the after-race UI to let you choose between all open races for that hopper. This also makes it more convenient to skip a track/weather you hate.

It would also help if when I hit Exit the UI goes back to the hopper I was in.

Perfect solution right there, assuming the game didn’t CTD/CTH like it currently does 9 times out of 10 when you exit instead of continue

They changed it so now it’s only one lobby open at a time most of the time, with a 2-minute window where 2 are open. (it was 2-3 lobbies open)

I finished a race and hit Exit to see what the 2nd track was, but the first one expired before I got there.

This i think is the best solution.

I now always skip a race so that I can qualify, otherwise the title MOTORSPORT makes NO SENSE.

Maybe they should have hoppers that are geared for quick and casual races, where your rating determines who you are matched up against, but incidents in thise hoppers do not effect your ratings. These hoppers should have a short practice session without qualifying, just grid the players based on fastest lap times, with clean lappers starting ahead of invalidated lappers.

And save longer practice and races with qualifying sessions for ranked races where incidents can effect the players ratings. This is where you’d find the the more serious players, and would be a better place for events and whatnot.
