I need someone who has knowledge of this to help me out. I have Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport 4 on xbox 360. I now have Forza Horizon 3 on PC. Is there a way for me to transfer my vinyl groups from Forza Horizon/ Forza Motorsport 4 to Horizon 3 on PC if I purchase Forza Horizon 2 on xbox 360. Am I out of luck with this one? I really need to find away to do this, I have like 30+ designs on Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport 4.
Whitey is correct. Forza games were completely redesigned for the current-gen XB1 consoles. Nothing from before the XB1 games (FM5 and FH2) could ever be used on current games even if there was a way to transfer them because the current games are designed to work on the current XB1 architecture.
As far as replicating old work … not sure if there’s a ‘fastest’ method as they’re all going to have to be recreated from scratch. So I guess however you created the originals would still be the best way to do them now.
Really… I would have thought the reason for not being able to import from the X360 games was the unlocking thing… unlocked designs would have been imported into the new games by people who did not create them…
either way… I’m happy to create new stuff myself (even If I do import from previous (X1) games too
^pretty much- you can make a list of the shapes, sizes and positions and transfer them over, but that doesn’t usually save much time, especially if you’re talking about a few hundred layers.
This is sad, I worked it out it’s 30 vinyls at around 600 layers by 6 values for each layer, so 108 000 separate inputs. I still cant understand how they didn’t compensate for this, it’s just co-ordinates that needed to be transferred -_- I guess it’s out with the old and in with the new. However I don’t feel motivated to make new ones now, because come Forza 8/9/10 they will do the same thing D:
