For the time being we are running test races in a lobby until we get enough people registered. Once we have everyone committed we will set up a start date.
My kind of cars. If the race time suits me, I’m in.
Fun fact: Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, which got it’s Trans Am name at same year as the Trans Am league was introduced for first time, was one of the rare cars which was unable to compete in the series, as it didn’t have small enough engine.
That’s wrong jugs. The trans am series required all cars to have a 5.0 L engine. To make the firebird eligible Pontiac made a 303 c.i. engine that fit the trans am regulations. It was not available in the production cars.
I’m another one that is down with this if the time(s) & days are right… Also, will there be any “non-competitive” / exhibition type races/ lobbies on non-scheduled race days? Like, just a bunch of us get together when we’re online to do some racing?
Sounds great! I’ll add you to my friends/ favorites list on XBL & look you up whenever you’re online. Whenever I’m online (vice my son) I only play FM5. Looking to get FM4 for the 360 so I still got some FM action going on whenever my son is playing online w/ his peeps.
I got some questions for you in regards to the Trans-Am Series:
What is your local time zone (mine is USA/ EST)?
How many laps do you plan or have brain stormed each race having?
Is this a hardcore type series that has simulated damage & no assists … or … is it cosmetic damage & assists are up to the individual racer?
Is any paint scheme allowed (I paint retro NASCAR schemes)?
I plan on getting on FM5 once I get home from work in the morning. First order of business will be building/tuning/testing my cars for this series… once that’s done… I’ll look for you online over the course of this weekend.
Hey it might be helpful to create a club at www.racingclubmanager.com to get the series organized. All the timezone business would be taken care of and whoever was interested could just ask to join via the site and when you accept them, they will be waiting for you when it comes time to record the results.
