If this thread counts as a “car wishlist”, then I will copy and paste this into that area.
There are a few cars in the game that can be seen on the roads as traffic cars, but are not drivable. Some are already drivable (like 2010 Abarth 500 Eseesse), but there are other traffic cars that are not drivable, and they would fit the environment and the silliness of the game.
Here are the traffic vehicles that are not drivable in-game:
-2004 Audi S4
-2000 BMW 323ti Sport
-2006 Ford Transit Diesel
-2009 Ford Fiesta Zetec S
-2004 Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG
-2009 Mercedes-Benz A200 Turbo Coupe
-2009 Mini John Cooper Works
-2005 Subaru Legacy B4 2.0 GT
-2008 Toyota Yaris S
The things that I find interesting about these cars:
-Half of these cars are slower and older counterparts of cars that are already drivable in-game.
-The BMW 323ti Sport was a DLC vehicle in Forza Motorsport 6; I don’t understand why we would not be able to drive it in this game if they put the effort into bringing it in as a DLC car in a previous game.
-Many of these vehicles were in Forza Motorsport 4, and it seems like Turn 10 just copied and pasted the models from that game into Forza Horizon 3.
-The traffic cars I didn’t mention (because they are already drivable) have slightly different models compared to the drivable models. You’ll begin to notice that as you look at the traffic versions and drivable versions in the Horizon Promo tab.
I just don’t understand why we can’t drive some of these cars. I would much rather drive the 2005 Subaru Legacy (that is not drivable) instead of the 1990 Subaru Legacy ( that is drivable) in-game. It would also be awesome to actually have early 2000s versions of Audi and Mercedes in the game (we are lacking of those).
I could make different cases as to why we should have these cars drivable and customizable. So why not?
