Traction Control is automatically turned on, after the event when its suppose to be turned off

Hi this is my second post of the Forza forum, this time for Forza Horizon 4.

I have a little problem is that every time I finish an offline race (I don’t know if it happens during online racing), is that traction control seems to automatically turned on for some odd reason, which is supposed to be turned off via the difficulty settings.

To make it clear though, when I start a offline race against drivatars, I go to the difficulty settings to turn off almost the assists including traction control, start the event, then finish it to collect credits and influence.

After that I discovered that traction control mysteriously turned on, so I made an easy fix to go to the pause menu, on the home tab there’s settings, then difficulty settings to turn off traction control.

I really do hope Playground Games could fix this issue in future and its quite easy to spot.

At the moment I don’t have any knowledge if anyone had this kind of weird issue, but feel free to discuss the topic.

Sounds like you are turning it off for the race only.

If you want it permanently off change the settings when in freeroam.

Thanks I’ll give it a try to make sure its permanent.

I agree.
Happened once to me. Once you change it in Freeroam it never changes.
Not really a major bug. Easily corrected.

I’ve never turned TCS on in this game but there has been the (extremely) odd occasion when the icon has turned on by itself for seemingly no apparent reason (and it’ll flash too if I was spinning the wheels), but a quick trip to the difficulty settings would still show it as turned off. Cycling it on and then off would make it go away however.

Similar but slightly different bug I’ve seen occasionally in FM7 would be that I’d start an event/race/rivals etc and all the icons would be on the screen (ABS, TCS, STM etc) but they’d never flash even if put through scenarios where they would activate, but if I went in to the difficulty menu they’d be all turned off (as I normally run) and then back in the game the icons would have disappeared (as they should if they aren’t activated)

I think what the OP describes is not a bug but is by design.

It is to allow you to have a main setting but you may want to override it for a single race so if you do it from the race menu it just takes affect for that race.

I just tested this, on freeroam turned tcs on, and in race menu i turned it off after race when returned freeroam tcs was off.

That is happend few time to me also that game turn tcs on byself, but if then enter house or festival and when exit tcs is back off.

Something similar to this just happened for me. I ALWAYS have it off, but during a ranked adventure. On the first race it turned itself on. I have screenshots of it being on, and it being off after.
