[TPR/CRAV] Open Source Tunes (FORD LOTUS CORTINA B CLASS UPLOADED!)

I got on well with this tune, works very well at Road America Alt. got a PB there, #182.

I will certainly check this updated Mustang out. Thanks for sharing Crav!

Episode 9 is now UPLOADED! This episode we have a very familiar face. The 1965 Mini Cooper S for D Class! This car is a weapon and is probably in the top 5 on every single track in D class. This is an essential car to have in your collection! Without further ado here it is!

Another awesome tune Crav, thanks for sharing!

Thanks Foot! I really enjoy your comments. Plenty more to come in the new year! I have on the go at the moment, the Countach, Elise 99 and my favourite Alfa 33 Stradale ready to put up soon

First episode of the 2015!

This car can beat those pesky KTM Crossbows and is an absolute weapon in acceleration. Normally these cars are built for grip tracks but this is an awesome variation with many top times and is very controllable!

Thanks for sharing another excellent tune Crav. This one felt a little skittish to me so I lowered the F/R springs by 100 lbs. each and raised the ride height to 5.4 F/R. I seemed to have a much easier time at Indy GP this way. Got a PB, 1:26.092 #253.

Cheers foot, I actually got down to a 1.20.1 around Long beach but because I turned my xbox off prior and continued on when I turned it on, it didn’t save :frowning:

Really nice job on the 99 Elise Crav! Thanks for sharing. I am currently checking it out at several tracks. Hard to handle for me at high speeds in Long Beach Full, so, I went with TCS. Dropped a couple of seconds off my PB yet it was a very minor dirty lap unfortunately. Will give it another go. Love the car!

==> I will also give it a try with the changes made by FOOT as well.

Thanks PRKid I am glad you enjoyed it! It is a little tough at first but you can definitely find time once you’ve gotten the hang of it!

Crav, I had also built up your '65 Mini and had not had the chance to race it until tonight. Took it out to Cat GP and dropped 3 seconds off my PB. I was able to get under the 1k PB (~763) with a 2:10.1. I then proceeded to chase your ghost (which I am sure was an old run @ 2:07.6, Nov 2013) and was able to be in front for about 2 turns and then you just take off. I was able to get a dirty 2:08.8. I usually do not race against ghost since they sort of confuse me, yet, need to keep learning from these in order to get better.

** If you get a chance, please check my video and I would certainly welcome any driving pointers. Thanks!

p.s. Is your Nov 2013 PB at Cat GP with the same build/tune?

.

It makes me happy when someone drastically improves with my tunes, it makes me think I am doing something right lol. Sure I can have a look for you there, no problems there. The build I used was most likely the open sourced build I did the day the game came out; I believe the car was RWD not FWD which the FWD is massively faster by seconds.

Cool! After my last post I did improve an additional 1+secs, now at 2:09.2. Need to keep practicing since I know there is a lot of time left if I do a better job on the braking and lines. Thanks for checking it out, it’s certainly appreciated!

This car can really turn, it’s amazing!

THX for sharing the 99 Elise got PBs on nearly all tracks. It’s such a fun car! I have a little trouble accelerating when on of the rear wheels hit a curb. I think gtFOOTw’s solution with the ride height should help. I’ll try that tonight.

I still can’t get anywhere near 231.xxx at Spa in the Mustang - still in the 234.xxx, and maybe a one off 233. Seeing your replay on youtube is really helpful, though - interesting to see the lines taken, and the brake / gas points. I have gotten in the mid-230.xxx in Cortina w/ 1.6L turbo - but never a clean lap (almost), still able to get low 231.xxx consistently and clean, but for the life of me, can’t get anywhere near that in a non-1.6L car. Frustrating.

Anyway, thanks as always for all the tuning info and videos. Very helpful.

Perhaps you might come up with something for this month’s Long Beach rivals event - the one for any B class cars under 350 HP (I think that’s the requirement). Or maybe your existing Alfa Stradale tune is the ticket. Haven’t tried it yet.

Ran the Mini for a few laps on Laguna Seca and Le Mans Bugatti. Only ran 5 or 10 minutes on each and came in around 170th on both. Great build! I put up a video of the laps and linked over to your video for the build and tune.

I did struggle a little in the tight turns. I had to be real careful with my speed into those turns or it wouldn’t hold the line, but when I did it was great coming out of the turns.

Hey everyone! Episode 11 has now been uploaded
Featuring a classic car from my garage, a real top car, well balanced and really just a good all rounder

Awesome job with the Honda S2000 Crav! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Crav. I can honestly say that I’ve learned more from your videos and open source tunes than any other resource. So, thank you!

Thank you Zippy! I always appreciate your comments and I’m glad that my tunes help you learn from guides!

Just a quick question; If you are searching on YouTube is difficult to find my tunes and hard to figure out which tune is which. Currently changing the format and titles when I recieve wifi and just wanted to know!
