[TPR/CRAV] Open Source Tunes (FORD LOTUS CORTINA B CLASS UPLOADED!)

Craviator’s build is as posted. My issue was that I had set the front tire incorrectly. The 3 items you mention should be Race and the tires Front (STOCK) and Rear (Upgrade).

What I was saying was that I took the original build, which was B600, and adjusted it a bit for my own purposes to give it more grip.

The original build is very good, especially for longer tracks. But, for tracks like Laguna Seca, or Prague, a little more grip helps dramatically. So, I took the original build and switched a few things to increase grip while losing a bit of top speed and acceleration. I made no changes to the actual tune - the tune itself stayed the same, despite switching up the components a bit.

In other words, I have two cars now. One with the original build posted, and then one I tweaked a bit to add a bit more grip, but no change in tune, and it’s remarkably quick. As such, I posted the changes I made so that others could try as well if they wanted.

Got it! Thanks for the extra build! Will follow suit.

Craviator, you going to do any non dlc releases? Went to go try 3 of these last night only to find they were all DLC… almost bought the car pass because of that.

Thanks for sharing the tunes Craviator. I have a few open source ones that you gave out when the game first came out, like the '65 Mini, and they were terrific. I always find your tunes to be top notch on the Sharefront. Thanks for letting some of your cats out of the bag.

Got a PB @ Indy GP with the '90 Camaro. Car drives really well, thanks for sharing Crav!

Hi everyone, I will have new videos going on my channel very soon with build/tune setup walkthroughs. I just have to do some editing on some of the content. Also I’d like to take the time to put out the idea on doing reviewing of tunes because I haven’t done that in such a long while. If you do like that idea, feel free to post in this thread or message me your GT, Car and File Name of the tune. I’ll try to make a series of it, if I get enough entries in. Also I will be posting some more open tune stuff shortly. I’ve had a bit of a break from Forza because it was slightly boring me. But I’m back with some some fresh cars and new tunes to give out. Thanks again

Crav

Glad to hear that you have “re-energized” and bak on full force Crav! Will check out your new video. I am already subscribed to your channel. Thanks for sharing the open-source tunes along with your vast knowledge of this game.

Hey everyone, I’ve attempted to do my first build/tune video tutorial so feel free to have a look! Would love for the feedback on what to improve upon.

Episode 1: Ford Escort 1992 B Class → Forza 5 Tuning and Building Tutorials W/ Craviator - YouTube

Looks great. I enjoyed the video. Quick question, the settings for the ARB F:1,R:40, is that something car specific, user specific or something that can be done on all AWD builds? I’ve seen it around and just wondered why that setting. Thanks for any help would love to see more videos.

Not saying it is the correct way for the AWD anti roll bars, but it is the most effective way to give steer which is what you want to do in AWD as it has an understeering nature. That and it has the best traction of all the cars so it can handle dialed in oversteer. Nearly all AWD cars that were in Forza 3 (The AWD dominated Forza) had 1 and 40 ARBS just because it helped to reduce all the under steer. I hope this gives you a bit more understanding!

Crave in your video your saying the front camber is -3.3 but the video shows it being -3.0.

Great job on your first video Crav! I also picked up several tips for AWD (ARBs and Diff) cars…which I needed, very timely for a setup that I am currently working on.

By the way, why did you not go lower on the springs? Seen around that many folks are going with much softer spring rates. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I will also have to check out THE VAN!

The video was pre recorded and I was voiceovering it. The video itself was very small to see on screen so it was hard to see the numbers exactly. It definitely is -3.0 front camber

The springs for an awd can go much softer but the the weigh the car felt was good. The problem was the ratio of downforce from front to rear so I had to reduce that to keep in balance.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Nice job on the van Crav!..and, YES…it is a VAN, lol… It was actually very decent to drive. Scared the heck out of a couple of my rival buddies and there D-class “super cars”.

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you giving it a whirl! I thought it was good fun and probably under rated. Not to mentioned hated by the online community, so I thought it would be funny to see win races haha.

Thanks for trying it out mate!!

On a side note, new build/tune tutorial video will be up during the weekend so I’ll keep everyone informed on that! Its a lovely chevy, probably my favourite one. Keep your eyes peeled!

Crav.

Like the van, a lot for fun. Thanks for sharing.

I based a tune on the transit build you posted and its the fastest d class van on the ring top job there buddy
