I agree that regular Matrix was as boring as car can be. But we can’t forget about the existence of faster version called XRS.
Unlike regular Matrix, this version could have up to 17 inch rims. I know that this doesn’t sound like something to brag about in today’s world, but for its time, those were pretty big.
But most noticeably, it had 1.8 engine that was making a healthy 180 hp (50 hp more than regular version).
