Toyota Camry TRD- wrong style of plastic trim where the fog lights are

The TRD regardless of year gets the one with straight lines across whereas the 2021-2024 SE and XSE Camrys get the geometry ones

This doesn’t necessarily have to be a mistake. We don’t know which car they scanned and who the owner is. If it’s a private owner, he could have installed an aftermarket kit or perhaps it really was an option. I found a post on Reddit about it with owners saying that some came with foglights pre-installed or it was an option:

But the lights pictured on Reddit aren’t round.

It could also be a car from Toyota themselves. Then the question is, was it a production model or pre-production? Pre-production models can differ slightly from the production models.

You may be right. The fog lights are a dealer/factory installed option on the car that was scanned, and most likely not a pre-prod. @LuculentPigeon8

Those are either a dealer option or bought online somewhere then installed by the owner. Because you can’t get fog lights from the factory as Toyota never offered fog lights for the 8th gen.
