I’m redownloading the game with my 3mb connection (kill me now) and currently the windows store has download 98,54/98,54 and It continues downloading… What is the total size of the game?
Well I am at 107,3 GB an still going up, there doesn’t seem to be a cap… Have a feeling something went terribly wrong and download bar is also stuck

It’s a bit disingenuous of MS/T10 to lie about the download size. They clearly know what the download size is - they have the files. There is no way they don’t know. It clearly states a size, then when it hits that size, it just bumps up by 1GB at a time … with no end in sight.
Anyone know what the TRUE size is? I have a 60mbit connection and it has been going for 4 or 5 hours already. At this point I’ll just have to leave my computer on all night. Certainly glad I don’t have data caps, I feel for those who do.
MS/T10 seriously needs to look at optimizing file size, specifically not including 4K textures for those who don’t have 4K monitors. And then they need to be HONEST about the file size.
Please notify us in case your download ever finishes. I interupted it because I thought it was a bug and the download would just continue with no end.
And yeah the download should be between 95-99 GB
They most likely didn’t include the size of all the patches & DLC for the game. IDK if this game had one, but some games have HUGE patches on day one!?!?
My DL finally finished… I have no idea how big it was as I stopped paying attention after 140gb…
the download size displayed in the store app is bugged, it just keeps growing indefinitely after the download ends. you can verify this by observing network activity in task manager
My network activity stayed pegged even past 140gb. I have a network monitor in the task bar that showed this. It installs automatically after it reaches some gigantic size of download.
How do you install it then if it stays at ‘downloading’?

Disk space used, yes. Download size, no this is not true. It downloaded well over 140gb for me, and I see many reports that others are seeing the same thing.
It is strange, first time it downloaded over 115 GB and second time it began installing at 108 GB
Did anyone see the final download size or the issue?
It said “Installing” at numerous stages, 95Gb, 120Gb, 163Gb etc, it’s now at 184Gb and I fear that I must cancel and restart.
With a varying 3Mb connection, this has taken over a week and is understandably very frustrating. Me being stubborn and saying “It just has a little bit left to go”, maybe hasn’t helped.
The new total size once installed is 96.143 GB. Don’t trust the number in Windows Store. In your WindowsApps folder when downloading the size can jump over 150 GB since it copy the old content and merge it with the new.

I’ve heard it’s a bit broken yes, but I’m hoping it gets sorted in good time.
In fact you need 95.5 + 96.1 GB disk space to install it if you have the previous version. During the download 191.6 GB is needed on your disk. Once the download is paused or finished everything go back to 96.1 GB. 
If you started your download before the last update it is a bit tricky… Windows Store continue to download with the new version or maybe restart the download.
I use Fiddler 4 and Internet Download manager to download since the last time that happened the game failed to launch once installed. 
I went to bed and it was at 195Gb, woke up this morning and it had installed! Looks like I it downloaded before the update then. I played it for about 5 minutes and now there is another 2Gb update… I’ll get there eventually.
