I’m not sure why you would want that in first place. Not that it has to with this game but in real life when you have back fire and flames coming out of the exhaust it’s a bad thing. Even though it may look cool you are just wasting un burned fuel. As far as I know there is no way to “enhance” or reduce back fires on this game. It will always be the same no matter what you do to the car.
Ever heard of antilag/2step/launch control? Back fire causes turbo cars to spool up before launching and prevents boost loss during shifts. Also it just looks and sounds cool. Sadly this still isn’t implemented in forza though…
Exhaust and Camshaft, there even had little detail difference between street cam upgrade and sport/race cam upgrade.
Oh,forget to say if your car had an wankel engine (most certainly will be the mazda) then you should instead upgrade Rotors and Compression (since it didn’t have Camshaft).
I think one of the Renaults has a “Wankel” or a rotary upgrade. Its sounds like an angry bee and you have to drive around at redline to get anything out of it. It was fun for a few laps but the sound got to be horrendous and it wasn’t really that fast considering the other options.
Upgrade cams and exhaust, race cams and exhaust will make the most backfire. If you cant upgrade it means they are already race spec (on higher class cars) and wi backfire without any upgrades
Also backfire happens when you come off the throttle and there’s unburnt petrol, same thing would happen when anti lag or rev limiters are engaged. How that’s a bad thing LSR Wizard, I have no idea… Backfire while at full throttle, now thats a different story.
(offtopic)Actually backfire is when the fuel ignites when the inlet valve(s) is/are stil open (most of the time caused by wrong timing, or way to much heat) and the fire from the combustion goes back to the air filter, creating a loud bang and flames coming out of the inlet.
the fire and bangs from the exhaust is also mainly caused by a wrong timing,(unburned fuel leaves the cylinders), valves “leaking” or a to rich mixture. in case of very high powered cars it is due to the extra fuel injected to cool the cylinders.
and ofcourse there’s the anti lag system.
(ontopic) race cams and race exhaust helps with the popping sounds. try the lotus evora (s800 with turbo conversion, exhaust and cams) and the lancia delta for really loud bangs:)
