Thrusmaster TX Wheel Support with New Forza Motorsport 6: Apex Version (2.15.14.0) - doesn't work

Hi together,

I heard great news today (Windows Blog) about the new Version of Apex (2.15.14.0) and that it support wheels now :slight_smile: (and finally BETA is gone :))

Unfortunately my Thrustmaster TX wheel doesn’t work with Apex - when I try to choose the wheel I get an error message - wheel not compatible and it choose keyboard or the gamepad instead as controller.

Do you have any idea or is somebody with a working Thrustmaster TX Wheel in the new version auf Apex 6 out there?

My TX Wheel works perfect with F1 2016, Project Cars, and other Games. I have the last firmware installed.

Do you have the latest firmware for your wheel?

I remember reading somewhere, it only works if you have a certain firmware version.

My TX is working so it’s certainly supported right now. Must be some sort of glitch or similar, that sucks.

Hi there, it sounds like this might be a driver issue. To validate your driver version, please do the following:

From the Start menu, please select “Thrustmaster->Control Panel” in the top right of the panel, it will display your current driver version. Please make sure that it is at least the following version or higher

Firmware: 50.B9
Driver: 2.8.54.0

My TX seems to work as well as can be expected at the moment. But one thing I noticed is the second race I tried I seem to have lost the Clutch function after initial start. Oh well, partialy working wheel support is way better than NONE.

I still want to know where this update even is. Already had the latest items for my wheel. No update on Apex and nothing showing on the XBox store. Why does everybody else have it?

You may have to clear your windows store cache or manually go download the windows anniversary update, there’s a link in the apex store page.

Its on the windows store not the Xbox Store.

I realize that. I’m on the storefont. I’m looking at the Apex page, the same page I looked at when I downloaded initially. I also have the latest version of Windows. Would not have been able to download the Beta without it. When I go under my profile to downloads and updates, nothing comes up when I refresh. Still more than 24 hours later and nothing coming through on my end.

Same problem, tested with:
TX Italy (Xbox one version)
T300RS (ps4 version)
All with the T3PA-PRO pedal in GT mode (inversed)
also tested with the original pedals( 2 pedal, no cluth)
No one works :frowning:
All the wheels updated to last firmware.
Work fine with other games.
Please solve.

Another note on this

Thrustmaster released new drivers and firmware recently so you also need to do a full reinstall of the drivers from https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/txservobase-en/

You need the windows anniversary update which im pretty sure is version 1607 to get the new version of apex. You also need the new driver from thrustmaster. I had to manually uninstall and reinstall drivers by going to the thrustmaster website because it wasnt finding it on its own. The windows update i just googled Windows anniversary update and downloaded it. Apex said it wasnt installed, so i hit install and it didnt actually need a reinstall it just updated. The tx works fine, it recognizes the base, 599 rim and t3pa pros. It doesn’t recognize the h-shifter but the announcement said it will in a future update, only logitecs shifters work as of now.
