The Vulcan's Lair|ExplicitVulcan's Gallery [Constructive Criticism is encouraged!] 2/26/17 Update

Hey everyone!

Welcome to my gallery!

To start things off, I would like to thank all the forzatographers out there who started doing this way before me. People like Apparently God, Pebb, Nights Viper, etc. (Don’t worry if I didn’t put your name, I didn’t forget you, I just want to keep this short and sweet!) You guys were the reason why I decided to try out forzatography myself. My inspirations. So for that, I thank you!

Let’s start off with a small introduction. My name is Jaydon. Many of you may know me from the Facebook pages such as Forza Horizon 3 Official, Forzatography Central/Collective, etc. I am 16 years old, living in the Great White North.

I want to thank you all so much for visiting, and I hope everyone enjoys!

This is gonna be my first set in what is hopefully going to be a successful thread!

I like this one. The tilt angle is a little awkward but it’s actually a little bit of a good thing lol. It’s well composed.

Just a little advice from me if it helps: Aperture is a valuable tool. It helps establish the focus of the picture by blurring out everything else not in the focus. I can see you’ve used it in some pictures, but if you haven’t really played with it much yet then I would say it’s a good idea to have a better look at it and learn how it works. Also, the second Audi shot and second corvette shot have the watermark being placed over the car. Something I pay attention to when placing a watermark (Be it mine or a Forza mark) is to keep it out of spots where the pic is busy, so it doesn’t interfere with the picture much by drawing attention to itself away from the subject. Sometimes it means the picture can take longer to adjust, but it makes a big plus because the watermark isn’t the focus of the pic right?

All-in-all though it’s a good start. You seem to have an eye for finding good reflections as well as some cool and creative ideas. These are good qualities, but don’t get hung up on them. Snap what you want, when you want!

Thanks for the feedback! I will definitely look into using more aperture in my photos! And for the watermark being overtop of the car, I used to play with a controller where the RB button was broken, so I got used to not moving the watermark. Now that I have a new controller, I need to get in the habit of moving it again! Sometimes I remember but many times I don’t. Thanks again for your feedback!

Someone only wants a bit of peace and quiet. :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha, I like to think of it as, it was enjoying the nice display of drifting put forth by the Audi, but you may be right xD

Welcome! The Dingo shot is very cool and I also like the soft colors and lighting in this:

One recommendation: Upload your photos to Flickr so they don’t disappear if you unshare them in-game

Thanks NV! And I’ll be sure to set up that Flickr account. I save all of my photos to my computer anyway, but it seems as if this would be a good way to save space on my hard drive!
Thanks for the idea!

Hey all! I’ve been going back and forth trying to figure out a decent update schedule for my sets. I’m leaning towards every Monday, but that is subject to change at any time. For now, though, every Monday will be a new set!

Thanks everyone for the feedback and tips on the last set. I implemented those tips into today’s set.
Today’s set is going to be larger than others, and that is to compensate for the late update. I had some family things to deal with yesterday, and that restricted my ability to post anything.
I hope everyone enjoys today’s set

Your latest update proves that you are settling into FH3’s Photomode. Also it is pleasing to see that you are trying new angles, layouts and compositions.
