Welcome to The [Unofficial] Forza Motorsport 6: Apex Tuner’s Lounge!
Here we can exchange our humble tunes made with the regretfully limited tuning abilities in Forza Motorsport 6: Apex. Maybe this thread will eventually persuade Turn 10 Studios towards adding a complete modification and tuning system into Forza Motorsport 6: Apex.
If you would like to post a tune, please state the purpose, car, and track for the tune, then post screenshots of your tune. I know this method is rather inefficient, but it’s what Turn 10 Studios gave us.
e.g.
Car: Ariel Atom
Track: Yas Marina Circuit (North Corkscrew)
Purpose: Control tune for the “Ultimate Track Toys” Tour
The easiest way to take a screenshot in Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is through the Xbox app installed on all Windows 10 systems.
Press the Xbox button on your controller.
Using the d-pad, navigate to the camera icon.
Press A (green button)
To retrieve these photos for uploading purposes, use File Explorer and navigate to C:\Users[your username]\Videos\Captures . This is the default save location for all media created using the Xbox application method. Other methods are available, but this is the easiest to explain and doesn’t require extra software to edit captures.
Will probably appear if upgrading cars is added to the game as at the moment there is no way to upgrade cars and you cant really do much on most of the cars anyway apart from the race cars.
You want to say change the tire pressure on majority of the cars. Only GT3 and LMP1 cars have actual setups. Some give the ability to adjust brakes as well (Agera for example). I suppose that’s the main reason why that kind of forum sub-section haven’t been made. There’s quite honestly no need for it for the limited amount of tuning available.
I know there is limited tuning in Forza Motorsport 6: Apex. I hope this changes eventually though. This game is missing a large portion of what makes Forza by leaving out upgrades and tuning.
Since cars in Forza 6: Apex can’t be upgraded, you can only tune stock parts. The reason you can only change the tire pressure on the muscle cars is because that is the only adjustable part on the car. Once you make your way the Ariel Atom and race cars, more parts will be adjustable. Hopefully Turn 10 will change this in the future so we can upgrade and tune all the cars.
Tuning the tires does make a difference though. I’d suggest lowering the tire pressure for more grip and less oversteer.
