The main problem as to why this car is outclassed by everything else no matter what you do to it, is solely because of the fact that the rear downforce is a dramatic 600lbs at it’s lowest point.
For some reason PG decided it would be a good idea to force a ridiculous amount of downforce on the rear wing that will make it obsolete in both S1 and S2. In order for a handling race car to be competitive in Horizon, it must reach 220+mph at least. With every single setup I’ve tried, it can hardly reach 205 before going into X class territory.
I was really hoping for this car to be ludicrous, like the GT cars were in Horizon 3, along with looking like the coolest thing I’ve seen in Horizon.
If you can’t change the downforce, at least give it the handling of an F1 car so I can corner better than everyone else.
Do you really need 220mph speed in every track in s1 and s2 class? in s2 class that is not best choise most of circuits i admit that but in s1 class that feel really solid and is one of the fastest s1 class cars that i have tested on bamburgh circuit.
great handling car for circuit and tight city sprints.
my issue is seen below. played with ride height and springs/dampers with no luck. at about 200mph it sinks into the pavement and throws sparks but doesn’t seem to slow the car though. can’t adjust df as it’s at min.
Well i put ktm on test against s2 class cars, same track where it’s beat most s1 class car but in s2 class 5 lap on every car.
Ferrari f50 gt 47,1s
Lambo centenario 46,9s
po mclaren 720s 47,2s
pagani zonda r 47,0
porsche 918 46,8s
lykan hypersport 47,2s
and finally ktm 46,747s oh wait didint this shouldnt be 10s slower than those other cars?
I mention in earlier allready, and what it’s really matter when you say first that every other s2 car beats ktm.
I tested another car with really low top speed radical rxc time 47.2s
Just ran a 44s in a poorly tuned BAC mono. The reason why the Mono won is due to it’s ridiculous acceleration and braking, without having maximum downforce. Top speed of the BAC mono? 220+
Edit: Fine, the KTM is good for one track, just ran a 41.3 at the Ambleside in S2.
Edit 2: Nevermind my F40 C ran it just as fast. And still goes 245mph.
i run bamburgh circuit 0.3s faster with mono than ktm, so i still wouldnt say that ktm would get dominated per every other car. Top speed is irrelevant in so many cars and so many tracks. Well maybe not in online where everybody wallriding every corner and only thing what is important is how fast car accelerete.
If that’s the minimal downforce the car produces in reality, it should be the same in game. PGG should not edit a cars true stats just to fit some weird rule set you created yourself…
I’m saying it doesn’t have to be that way, just make the midway point 300-400 and the max 600 and the lowest 200, literally no one will complain. It will make the car significantly faster without sacrificing anything.
Also, you care about realism in this arcade racer lol and I care about a car’s viability in online.
