The 2015 NISSAN #23 GT-R LM NISMO is the most realistic car in a videogame ever

I’ve been driving this car and it actually makes me feel like im driving the real thing at le man.

It provides an incredible feeling of finishing minutes behind everyone and being ten seconds off pace of the race winner on a lap by lap basis.

Its so accurate to its real life counterpart i am incredibly impressed. If you havent tried this yet in the P1 series then you are missing out on the most authentic racing experience of your life.

Idk how T10 managed to secure the rights to the worst car on the grid at le man in 2015, but they pulled it off.

I was always under the assumption the racecars they added are all remarkable. But oh boy is this thing something else.

I wonder what @SuperHornetX391 thinks about this thing.

As a Nissan fan, I’m still salty about this car. It has ridiculed the image of the brand. Maybe it’s only fitting given where Nissan is…

I just don’t understand how they thought FWD would work out lol.

Out of the loop and never tried that car but is this a sarcastic post?

it was supposed to be awd, but they didn’t finish the awd system in time so they just ran it with fwd, intending to bring the awd system to the next le mans.

and hey it still performed better than bykolles ever did at le mans.

Yes.

Somehow gives me hope for a bunch of interesting but slow race cars. Won’t hijack your thread and turn it into a wishlist though …

Funnily enough, it made me research the car and I stumbled upon a topic on reddit leading to key members of the project, one said at the time that he had a lot to say and “would one day write a book about it, say in 2025”. Sweet timing

still disappointed nissan gave up on this car after one season. They never got the hybrid system working correctly which led to the suspension and brakes being completely compromised and leaving them down on horsepower compared to every other car in the class.

this video does a good job of explaining what went wrong

My gawd that thing is hideous. I mean, I’ve seen it plenty of times before so it’s not like it’s a surprise. But man, looking at the pic in that thumbnail just makes me laugh with disbelief…like, it can’t really be that ugly and awkward-looking, can it? :joy:

The Nissan?

Literally trash. Shouldn’t be in the game.

I’m gonna do a legit race in this car and see where I end up.

Over 4 seconds per lap off pace, 51 seconds behind over the entire race.

It was a struggle for 20 minutes lol, I can’t imagine the average player ever enjoying this car.

I think it’s amazing that they made FF fast. That thing was blazing fast in qualifying for what it was. Definitely the fastest FF car in history by a long shot. That’s probably why it’s in the game, and the fastest car ever around le sarthe, and its hypercar winning successor are not.

I wish Honda would’ve been the automaker that poured money into a project like that though .

I think it’s as fast as the hypercars? Not bad for FF.

Appreciate it. Plz tell me you uploaded a tune that i can try haha. Im still getting it to lvl 50, its the last p1 for me.

I actually love the look. It looks like sometiing a batman villain would drive in a parade in gotham in the 1920s or something hahaha

I’m not gonna bother trying to tune it, to be honest.

It’s just too terrible of a concept for me. I hate FWD.

I understand. haha

This might be one of those cars that’s probably best in single-make races.
The PI system & separate car divisions just don’t put different cars on competitively even ground.

I’ll say. The 919 Hybrid has 1100hp, while the rest of the spec cars have 800 or less.

It was supposed to produce 1200 to 1400 horsepower. The ACO (organism that runs the Le Mans 24h) said it was the second best engine on the grid in terms of thermal efficiency etc, probably to the Porsche. They could never get it to work because of packaging, creating issues with tyres, suspensions and brakes as said above. Yet, they were 12 kilometer per hour faster than the next car on the straights. Who knows how fast the real complete package would have been (at Le Mans and only at Le Mans)…

A good old 4WD like the rest would have made a splash, you don’t always need to reinvent the wheel.

In Forza it’s a good challenge for Top 1% players.
