To who ever set ups the leagues on Forza 6, thank you for publishing these a week in advance this time!
It makes it easier/faster to make better content/coverage when they launch!
I’ve been posting about the weekly leagues for a long time, but the one for next week is going to be the best one ever, because i’ve had time to work on it longer https://www.rookieraceline.com/category/news/leagues/
Are you in Pnnacle Tyskie?
i always seem to find somebody to race in Elite, bu ti have heard it’s pretty slow in Pinnacle (and that people quit if they can’t win the race)
Yes we are afflicted with the pinnicle division. The most I have ever seen is around 2000 ppl globally and that’s when they gave away the 312p. Very disapointing some of the best racing I ever had was in pinncle division the bentley, can am, v8 and wtcc leagues were brilliant back in the day
i miss the hay day of leauges as well… lambo super trufao, week 1 ford forza RC, just to name a few… when they have something to give away is when pinniacle gets good… i made alot of friends and enamies…lol… hopefully they can find a way to keep the leauges alive in fm7!!!
The numbers of people playing a game dwindle very quickly these days. Not just Forza but just about any game. I blame limited storage. It was better back on the 360 when all you had to do was pop the disc in. MP falls off far to quickly.
Just how big of an HDD would we need, to hold the equivalent of a stack of thirty major games, plus DLC, save data, plus the console’s own OS, etc? More than 2TB…way more…or so it seems to me.
I don’t think storage is an issue certainly not for me. I only buy games digitally if I’m going to put some time in for instance fall out and mafia 3 are digital copies but gta and p cars are on disk.
The demise of the pinnicle leagues is a combination of factors
Poor car and track choices from t10
Mistakes made like cataunya school with 1 quick stop
The crazy points system that rewards lower true skill players more points than everyone else
Community request thread ignored
If someone from the community had control of this feature, someone who would plan every detail from no of laps to what cars work on what tracks then it would be a success. T10 have made a right mess of it and now most serious players won’t give it a chance.
These are some great points. I think in the larger scheme of things, when it comes down to it imo turn 10 just seems like they dont know what theyre doing anymore when it comes to things like this. Ive said it before but i dont think they even play this game tbh. I respect their decision to implement more competitive features, but we should expect things like this in a modern racing game.
I think the biggest problem with turn 10 and its reflected perfectly with this particular issue is that once they release a game, they dont really fix anything unless its considered “game breaking” or something to do with dlc is messed up.
Instead of making adjustments when the game was new, they waited till interest was very low. Instead of real fixes or changes they decided to give away free content to boost interest. Im not against free content but if you look at horizon 3 with the “forzathons”, theyre keeping players interest artificially. I see something similiar happening in forza 7.
I think leagues were a good addition to the game, but the implentation was poor and never really got the support it deserved. Now turn 10s focus is on esports and i think anything that doesnt have to do with esports will suffer for it. The league lobbies really arent utilized for esports so i dont see things changing much.
