Can you please tell us how long the leagues will be suspended for this. I have all the DLC and me and many others have no need to join the mad wreckfest to get free stuff. A whole segment of your player base is being abandoned without any notification. You can at least tell us when the regular leagues will return. In fact since I already have all the DLC why would I steal someone else’s chance to get the DLC they don’t have.
You are not stealing anything if you own all the DLC’s and are racing in the championship league.
They know they need to be in the top 50%. If they don’t make it that is their own fault not the other racers.
just no point in doing it for me. Its great that they are doing this but pretty much I’m left out of the whole thing and I’m sure many others are too. I can’t do top 128 times and I have the DLC. What motivation is there? Not gonna subject myself to be wrecked for no reason. Yea I did one race to get the unicorn for participation and hot lapped Monza, that was it. It would have been nice to have known there wouldn’t be regular leagues during the competition. Would it have been that hard to let us know? ESL could have at least given us a chance to win Horizon 3 Ultimate but it’s just DLC. I could easily get into top 50% if I want to but I would rather someone who really wants the DLC to get it.
I think the motivation to play would be the same for any regular league; to race in similar cars and hopefully get into much faster and cleaner racing than you find in the hoppers. It’s not like there was any prize for most of the other leagues anyway, but people still played them. In all honesty I’m actually glad that this was the only league so there’s a much bigger amount of people playing. There were other leagues I have tried in the past that would’ve been very fun, but weren’t because I was unable to find a lobby with more than like 6 people in it.
Sadly, I can’t seem to find a league window when I can get in. Kind of an early Saturday/Sunday morning player, I always seem to be between windows, unfortunately.
I own all the dlc in game so i just did my one race, called it good, get my unicorn. If a H3 dl was a prize I’d have put in more time. Oh well. Whatcha gonna do.
According to ESL website the leagues we are running are NOT the open league.
They start Aug 28th n will be head to head races. When the open lge opens you log in to ESL n they will have picked a racer for you. You have to contact that racer run the head to head then log back in to ESL and confirm the result. After that they will give u another rival n u do it all over again and the cycle repeats itself.
So according to ESL we are just racing for credits in the current lge racing as we normally do…so why isn’t the ghost lge open for people? And why is this info not plastered everywhere so we can reduce the wreck fest?

Time frame overview of in-game league
Stop blaming the ghost racers for your problems. Again prizes like free DLC for top 50% cause mayhem. You are not just racing for credits look at the rules. It’s obvious. Says week 1 prizes, week 2 prizes etc…I have never seen you in a ghost league, you don’t even know who they are.
“The top 50% of registered ESL Open Series players in each League will qualify for a weekly prize.” Weekly not just one day.
Unless there’s something additional they have yet to announce, that’s boilerplate description at the top of the page and the date is the closing time, not the start time. The announcement specifically describes three weekly league periods; that page describes weekly leagues; the prize chart only lists three weekly periods that correspond to the announcement; and the league itself in the game indicates that it is the one being used with registration for prizes.
Go to the ESL site n get to the forza page.
Topish left they have the 3 remaining lgs written in blue.
Click on the open lge starting 28th Aug n it opens up the page from which I got my info.
I have also msgd them for clarification.
There are 2 pages which conflict each other. The open league page clearly states what I have written yet in the rules for elite it would appear that the open lge is being run now.
But the page for the open lge clearly states what I have written.
The website wasn’t created with Forza’s league system in mind and will be using a template from another e-sport game that they host. Becasue this is the first outing there will be poor descriptions/headings on the template that can lead to confusion. Such as the start date, which is just the date you have to be registered by. It is not the date that the competition starts. This is a programming/website layout issue. The leagues are currently active for prizes.
Doesn’t excuse a lack of ghost league and the mentality of drivers pushing people off track to win a prize. Both issues are not linked.
You could still race for top 50 and when you get the code, you could give it away. It’s a bit different to the unicorn leagues where you could not pass it to another player. But with a DLC code, you can. Think of a little game/competition on the forums and make someone happy who can’t reach top 50 for any reason.
That is for the Elite competition. The hotlap is the qualifier. If you get into the top 128 you will do 1v1 racing aimed at winning a Focus RS.
The Open competition is the league competition where you need to register on ESL and race the leagues each week. Participation gets the Falcon unicorn car. Placing in the top 50% of the leaderboard gains additional content. Week 1 (which has passed now) was the car pass; week 2 (this week) the Porsche expansion; week 3 (next week) the NASCAR expansion.
Simplest thing to do is go onto the ESL website and sign up for all the competitions. Then you don’t need to worry you can just compete. Unless you get into the top 128 for the hotlapping in which case there is additional stuff to do.
