The game is installed on an HDD, I checked several times if it is, in any case, slowed down in terms of reading/Write speeds, no it is not, it is capable of running at max speeds.
So now your turn, turn10, tell me, why is this the only thing your game is capable of?
Tell me why this is all i get?
Edit : Forgot to mention, it got worse after the April update.
It happens with or without the warning, earlier I did a league race and right after the first corner, the road disappeared. and my connection is fast enough to handle all kinds of things.
On top, it looks like this in singleplayer as well, even in offline mode. and then you have the unbearable stuttering the whole time.
If it’s in single player too then network lag can be discounted.
Stuttering can be down to many problems and not always easily solved.
I don’t get any stuttering like that but i’m running an i7, DDR4 3000MHz, GTX1070 and all on an SSD. Which makes me bulletproof for the most part.
You say you’re HDD is running at max speed, that doesn’t mean it’s fast enough for this game. What size pagefile are you using?
According to DxDiag it’s 6.5 GB and 15.6 are available, so should be enough. and my HDD is certainly fast enough for everything else. S.M.A.R.T shows no errors, Disk Activity shows a maximum of 77%, Read rate was a maximum of 35.000 KB/s, write of a maximum of about 10.000 KB/s, average disk Activity while playing is about 22%, so it shouldn’t be the HDD. Ram usage is the same, i got 16 GB which is more then enough, FM7 uses 13 gb on max settings, 11.5 or around that on Low medium settings which I run, since I really need it because frames love to drop. Usually, about 140 fps on average should be enough for the game to not run into memory leaks or so.
Mate with a 970 i had Forza 7 and Horizon 3 running at almost max settings and 75FPS. I’d say something is seriously wrong with your system, but with Forza who knows?
But low/medium, you should be getting better performance than that.
What background processes are running when you have the game up?
oh I can run the game on high/ultra mix settings and get about 70 fps, I simply want to avoid the fps drops that happen all the time, with medium settings I am in a save area, more than save to be exact.
In all honesty, Forza 7 is the only game making any types of problems like that. Microsoft refuses to help, turn10 refuses to help. So yea, for me this game is currently a huge fraud.
I once thought Minecraft on Windows 10 had got all laggy after an update but it turned out that I’d changed my DVR settings to record in the background!
The usual suspects, Mouse driver/Software, Steam, Discord, Lightshot, nvidia experience. Nothing out of the ordinary since i close anything not supposed to be running like google services, java updater and stuff that eats ram and all.
