Tamiya RC Cars Partnership

Tamiya is another RC Car Manufacturer and could work in a similar vein to how Lego and Hot Wheels have appeared in Forza Horizon in the past.

Tamiya is famous for their 1/10 Scale Unassembled Kits which they’ve been doing since the 1970’s and I’m sure there’s several people in the community who encountered iconic vehicles such as the Grasshopper, Lunchbox, Frog, Avante, Blackfoot and Clod Buster at some point in their life.

Tamiya focuses on two themes of Remote Control Car primarily: 1) Accurate Depictions of Real-World Cars and 2) Original Designs from the Company’s Past as well as a few new releases.

This Suggestion is primarily for the Original Designs as they are the most iconic and offer a unique experience compared to just a recreation of a production car.

The Tamiya Wild One for example has even been made into a real car which can be Voted on for Horizon here and is available for purchase.

For anyone interested in Learning about Tamiya or maybe getting a bit of Nostalgia from their childhood I highly recommend the Tamiya Legends YouTube channel which is focused on exploring and experiencing Vintage and Re-Release Tamiya Models.

That’s a great idea.
Tamiya has many uniquely designed buggies. Moreover, Tamiya owns the rights to almost all of them, making the negotiation process very simple.

Note: Some products are fictional cars that appear in manga, and require permission from the publisher or copyright holder separate from Tamiya.

Forza has a precedent of including fictional designs, such as the Rocket 69 from Fallout4, the Warthog from Halo, and the Regalia from FF15.

If Tamiya’s buggies are added, the world of Forza Horizon will become even more colorful.

In addition, Tamiya has circuits for off-road and on-road RC cars. They also have released many extremely complex layout circuits for Mini 4WD cars. It would be interesting to recreate those layouts in Forza.

The most important point is that I hope that the Forza staff will learn from Tamiya about beautiful modeling and the know-how of making cars look cool.
They are famous for slightly deforming the modeling of real cars when designing plastic model kits. They create an exquisite balance by deforming the car’s shape to make it look cool.
Tamiya’s plastic models are recognized worldwide for their high quality.
Forza staff should also learn Tamiya’s know-how to make their modeling look cool in the game.
