Was in a good battle for a car ending soon and clicked and hit confirm and payed 11.1 million for a lambo… I know it’s my fault for clicking to fast and not reading I was buying out and not bidding but why the hell are we able to put the buyout that high… No one is going to buyout that price on purpose when you can buy the car in the auction house… Back to Goliath race I guess…
Hahaha
People selling set the buyout price
And some people do pay it
The only reason it is there is for when someone screws up and mis clicks… No one would ever pay 10 mil for a car that you can go buy for 1 mil…? It doesn’t make sense. Oh well, lucky this game is crazy easy to get huge amounts of money in… Just wanted to vent a little haha…
The reason the buyout is that high is because it was a Horizon Edition car. They arnt going to change the price of the buyout because of one persons mistake lol.
Some people are claiming the buyouts are too low for when they have put work into paints and tunes.
Unfortunately the solutuon is be more careful next time. I have nearly done it a couple of times.
yeah I’m careful now haha… Like I said, it’s my fault and my mistake… Just wanted to vent a little… The buyouts don’t need to be able to go that high though.
if you just buy wheelspin after wheelspin you will get all the HE cars. That’s how I get them all than I auction the multiple ones I end up with. When more HE cars arrive I will have the money to spin a lot
The HE cars have a stupid high buyout price though when the limit on the normal edition of the car is 110% Storefront value. Does the HE boost really make the difference of - oh say the Mini Cooper - a car with max buyout under a million now suddenly becomes an 11.1 million credit car max buyout?
If there is going to be a limit of 110% of storefront cost on vehicles people have put numerous hours painting and tuning the limit for HE cars should be a bit more reasonable. Perhaps 500% storefront value of the non-HE version?
What’s even worse is the stupid, minimum buyout limit. Let’s say I want to sell a car I know runs right around 1.3 - 1.7 million credits (say the HE Corvette C7), I have to pick a buyout that is at least 5.5 million credits because I can’t set it lower. If I just want to sell the car, perhaps I’d like to set he buyout at 1.5 million to make some credits and have the sale done. Perhaps I want to put it at 2.5 million to see if I can get some bidding going or just have someone buy it without the hassle. But nope, can’t do that.
The buyout limits are limited in a way that most people won’t really use them unless it’s a mistake and I’m sure the developers know that.
Maybe its part of the package of changes they made to prevent cheating. Without that package of changes we would have no auction house.
Whilst we may think a change may not assist cheaters we may not know exactly what issues they are trying to prevent happening.
