Hey all, I am speaking on behalf of many active members of the Forza Motorsport community. I have been aware that Playground Games had ceased collaboration with Forza Motorsport 7 and the gameplay of the special game types (Virus, KTI, and PTI) reflects on their absence from the Motorsport community. Without the assistance of Playground Games in creating Forza Motorsport 7, the Virus/KTI/PTI game modes were lackluster compared to the previous Forza Motorsport titles such as Forza Motorsport 6 and Forza Motorsport 4. I am not here to address the other issues Forza Motorsport 7 suffered from gameplay-wise, yet I feel the need to address that the Virus/KTI/PTI community is dying rapidly due to the lack of attention it has received through the last few Forza games. I am fully aware that I am simply bringing this to the attention of readers and that this one message won’t be the change that needs to happen in the community, but I suggest that the Forza community should unite so that we can help in making this game more enjoyable for a large group of dedicated Forza veterans. Even if you do not play any of these game modes (I am fully aware that the majority of racers play for the track racing aspect) it would not hurt you to help support the cause of reviving these unique game modes by simply commenting on this issue so that the topic will rise in popularity. Therefore, more people will see it near the top of the Forza Motorsport forum page and then they can help our cause grow even further. As a result, the developers of the upcoming Forza Motorsport may take this into consideration while developing the game for its 2021 release.
Will there Be tag virus in the new Forza

There has been no news of game modes.
tag was at peak in FM3 and FM4, when it was on circuits, unlike tha latter games that had hangars and open spaces (that were too open). I still remember having fun in the pitlanes. I wish we see a propper comeback of this game mode.

I’m gonna say no. They haven’t show any of the wacky, chill stuff. I hope at least that’s back but don’t get your hopes up.
Hard to find any info on when or if we will see tag virus returning in the new Motorsports. I know tag virus conversations exist in these threads but I’m more concerned with finding hard data on the subject. Mentioned in the other posts I am also tired of the repetitive open space track… I feel the topic of tag virus, cat and mouse is always in need of more attention so they don’t die out. Just like cat and mouse…

I support your cause but in the new Forza Motorsport they removed all the existing game modes, leaving only one, racing obviously, I sincerely hope that the Test Track and the Tag Game will return sooner or later, while the Tag Game will still be active. Fm7, but I don’t think it has much time to live

I noticed this which made me kinda meh feeling and not play as much.
I understand the whole racing only but trucks was removed as well. The open area fun removed… I get it’s more sim but it can be more sim with fun modes as well.
If you wanted more sim then make the damage sim too instead of scratched paint effect if we’re being critical you know.
A friend of mine bought it purposely for this mode to return or tag, found out it was not there and refunded it instantly, which I get because it’s all they played on FM7, which was fun.
