I thought I would try throwing together a quick challenge along with all the other challenges we have running so here goes …
This one is called the Super Sport Challenge and appropriately so … the car will be the 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS 409. Not only was/is this car a super sport but so is the tune or build I should say. It is a B class 500 with only SPORT upgrades to match it being a SUPER car of its time ;o) I have provided the tune on my storefront with the Cragar Super Sport wheels to match in trying to run with the whole Super Sport theme all the way through. I also have provided a SS flamed design for the heavy hauler though you may run your own design for the challenge but please use the tune provided. By the way this tune is also stock tire widths.
The track will be Sedona Full Circuit Reverse in keeping with our Sedona runs this month and I have set an initial time which will surely be left in tire smoke but that’s ok lol I am just giving a start point for the Super Sled to take off from at 2.41.849 which is my PB on the LB also.
The challenge will run from today 01/26/2016 through midnight eastern time 02/20/2016 please label replays SS CHALLENGE and submit clean lap times and your lap the time was set here on this thread … thanx !! I will do my best to try to get the boards sorted in a timely fashion as I have never tried doing one of these events.
My initial intent was to do a lottery pick from the number of participants in order from fastest downward and whoever’s number was drawn would win 50 million credits but since most of us left running always forfeit our credits in these challenges I decided to do as my club tag says and run JUST 4 FUN since that’s really what we do anyway ;o)
Please feel free to add all the photos you want to the thread whether it’s my design used or one of your own whether you are on 4 wheels or your roof . Otherwise the thread will be pretty colorless due to my lack of computer skills

I was hesitant to put up a car that had next to no tuning options really being it is all sport but I thought it made the SS a little more challenging since it can handle rather well in B class … thanx for jumpin’ in !!
Shuddering Shackles I think you left tire spikes in the road for me lol … Nice run man … and the design almost reminds me of Cheech’s ride ;o) … pretty good at dragging the brake in couple o spots also or at least that’s how it appeared to me in the replay
I made an A600 version of this car for this track with which in my not so speedy hands pulled 2.28.832 it was fun on the track too 2536 on the LB so was a PB for me

LOL… Thanks buddy, but credit goes to you for nailing the car/tune/track combo on this one… challenging yet still super FUN! : ) LOL… was also reminded of Cheech’s ride when I saw it My brake draggin’ is a carry over from my motorcycle racing games… tend to drag the brakes all the way to the apex : )
By chance did the A600 version make it’s way to the AH recently? Aaand, is it availablein your SF ?

LOL I figured you had the brake dragging down pretty good … and I may have had an A class in the AH a little while back week or so ?? I couldn’t tell ya if it was for drag or circuit … I had cleared all of my tuning files out so anything up was just one off non-saved tunes but it wouldn’t be this A600 I just built it when I had posted that up on here so it did well on Sedona for me anyway lol and it did almost as good on Suzuka as my NSX for me … better than my old time set using the SS like maybe a year ago or so … but sure I can put it up on store and you can try it out and if you like it I can PM ya anything on it ya want
I think you got my Fairlane RWD drag car in the AH … that one runs the Q-Mile 9.52 pretty consistent but goes into 9.4’s on a good launch on the test track and pretty similar E/T on Sedona … my old tune for that car was faster but I have not tweaked it back out … Right now it’s a F50 S700 I have been working on for circuit and a surprise car or two that may show up later on the forum runs
I slayed a DRAGGIN !!! ;] This car is a BLAST !!! Mark me down with a 1:40.875. I can honestly say my laps throwin this thing into the corners and nailin the throttle were MUCH more fun than my fast, consistent careful lap ;] More people need to jump on this Challenge ;] Great job, DRAGGIN ;] NOW… please excuse the photo bomb ;] I couldn’t stop snappin ;] …
Although I did DL/Rate your cool design DRAGGIN, as timing would have it, I did some new scalloped Impala designs a couple weeks ago that I had yet to announce or show yet ;] This is one of them and I am requesting a collab with your tune to go with these designs ;] This car is too much fun to not put out there ;] Let me know what you think and we can get these designs in the AH ;]

Glad you had fun and the car looks great … and by all means snap away lol I don’t even have a smart phone nor could use one if that speaks to my computer skills ;o) I am having a good time just watching the replays so far and watching the sled slinging going on.
By all means on the tune which is really just the build on this one … no problem like I posted earlier I was really hesitant to use a all sport set-up since it took away the tuning except a couple items but I will set you up with it and you can pull off a flywheel or clutch to allow for wheel or wheel size changes or even tire width for that matter if you want to get a little better stance … I tried to keep it close to what I thought a real Impala may handle like with sport tires and stock tire widths and mild upgrades … but ya I thought it was fun and have an SS A 600 I am finishing up also ( tuned car tho ) and I have it 1.24.450 on Suzuka so far where we are running the NSX
