Firstly, I have wanted proper staggered start time trial rallies in the FH series for years, so thank you for that.
However, the pacenote system is outdated by around 20 years or so.
No one uses the “Easy/Medium/Hard” system any more, far too imprecise.
Can we at least have the option to have the proper, modern number based system that is used from the heights of the WRC all the way down to the grass roots amateur Rallying Competitions?
Agreed, we could have two variants of pacenotes to choose between: simple (current) and pro.
I find current pacenotes too imprecise to turn off the minimap and depend solely on them (otherwise I’d suggest to turn the minimap off alongside the driving line with pacenotes enabled)
That is something else, too. Would love the Map to be turned off by default in Rally Stages, instead of something you need to personally do for immersion purposes.
And what is with that “Chicken!” call? Really? Who thought that was funny or a good thing to do?
Considering Rallying is meant to be staggered starts it would be a nice change to add in a slow running AI car ahead of you, or one that has had mechanical failures, they your CD could call out the hazard.
I think it was Dirt 4 or DR2 that did this and it worked well.
Yes!! More accurate and realistic pacenotes like they do in Dirt Rally 2.0 for example. The current pacenotes barely give you any useful information at all. And can we also add in a slider as to when the pacenotes are called out? It’s useless to call out pacenotes when I’m already there, I need the pacenotes to come up BEFORE I get to a corner so I can anticipate on it. If it gets called out when I’m 2 feet away from said corner it’s completely useless.
