Hey guys, I’m new to this. But I’m turning to the Forza community here since Xbox and Turn 10 Support seems to not care or is on an extended vacation or something. Alright, let’s get on with it. About two months ago I purchased the Storm Island Expansion Pack. Everything was great, loved it. Got to play once. I logged in the next day only to find that it was like I’d never purchased the dlc. So after checking the storage, I found that the entire 3GB file is there. I have it. I also have the 'Welcome to Storm Island ’ Achievement. But the console or servers don’t see that I have purchased the expansion pack. When I go to the marker on the world map, you know, the one that says ‘Travel to Storm Island’, I’m prompted to buy the expansion pack…again. I purchased the pack on January 14th. If anyone could help, that would be great. Turn10, I’m a huge fan of your titles, but this is dissappointing. Thanks guys, anything is appreciated!
Have you tried quitting the game completely, clearing your cache (power cycling the console) and trying again?
Yes. I’ve even gone as far as reinstalling the entire game. I just downloaded the latest update also
- Have you attempted to uninstall and re-download Storm Island as well?
2a) Is your game a disc?
2b) If yes, did you install while connected to the internet?
3a) When installing, do you play once it shows “Ready to Play” or do you wait until everything is 100% finished and done?
3b) Did you do the same for the update?
3c) While installing, did you do anything else on your console or did you leave it alone?
- Are you able to use access the Storm Island DLC vehicles in the mainland autoshow/garage?
I know there’s a lot of questions, but it helps to narrow down the cause of the problem. In the event that we cannot help you resolve the issue here, these questions and answers can then be passed along to Turn 10 in an effort to solve the problem.

2b. No, I took the console offline so it would install faster.
3a. I left the house and when I came back it was finished, so yes. I waited.

3c. Nope, I tried to play the game. That’s all. - Nope, I can’t access Storm Island by any means. It’s as if I haven’t bought it yet.
Ok. good, installing the game offline is your best bet. Then, once you connect to the internet you can get the updates but do not play until it is finished.
If you look at the Xbox Store (or Manage Games) and i shows the Storm Island DLC as purchased you should be fine. As a precaution I suggest taking a picture of your TV that shows Storm Island as purchased and your gamertag in the same photo. I also suggest checking on Xbox.com in the Transaction section - it will show the purchase. Tis way, if anything goes wrong you can prove to Xbox Support you have paid for it.
This would be the next step to take.
Load up the game, go to the autoshow and attempt to buy the Mini 4x4 Raid vehicle. It is a Storm Island DLC car. If you can see it and the game lets you buy it, that’s sort of interesting.
In any case, once you have your photo, I would uninstall the Storm Island DLC and then clear you console cache. Then boot back up, re-install the Storm Island DLC and see if it works.

It sounds like a licence issue. Have you tried contacting Xbox Live support? They can see when and what you’ve purchased and help with the licencing. That is if you have purchased the DLC and not a friend who stopped home sharing with you…
If it was a friend who purchased it and was home sharing - it would not show as purchased under his gamertag - would it?
It would show as either “Install” or “Installed”.
Yeah. If he purchased it, it would show “purchased” or “install” instead of “$9.99”.
One way to check for sure is to view your recent transactions on xbox.com.
No, I answered your question. “If it was a friend who purchased it and was home sharing” if this was also the case it would show up as Install or Installed. It is the same as if you have purchased it yourself.
Alright, reviewed my transactions, it’s there. I was also charged twice for it. And I purchased it on my own console. I’m home share with my brother but I bought the expansion pack on my account.
If I uninstall the storm island dlc, will I be able to get it back?
Yes, you’ve paid for it, you can download it as many times as you want even if you uninstall it. I would contact Microsoft and ask for a refund of one purchase since you shouldn’t be able to purchase it twice.
And I checked, I can’t buy any vehicle that is associated with Storm Island. I have the Ford Ranger T6 Rally Raid in my garage but when I tap A to get in it, I’m prompted to buy Storm Island. Same goes for the Shelby F-150 SVT Raptor .
Basic question: When you’re in Horizon and at the main menu with all the options, is the Storm Island tab greyed out?
Yes, everything is greyed out with the lock icon.

As for the double-payment, contact Xbox Support: Xbox Support (for your area link). The charges are recorded among your account records, which they have access to verify the payments, and any refund you would have coming.
