Still blacked out cars after months already… will it be patched?

You really don’t want to know what you have to do in order for the “fix” to work. LSS: mine will stay as they are…

:slight_smile: You mean this fix…

This issue is fixed in the Series 19 content update on March 28:

  • We’ve fixed the black windows that appear on car thumbnails in the car selection menu. While this won’t retroactively apply to existing thumbnails, these can be regenerated yourself by modifying the car with either a new color, livery or tuning parts.

…except, DO NOT do it by loading a tune because there’s a new bug where you may lose saved tunes if you load them (I think that was the gist of it, iirc). And was there also a new issue with painting and saves or was it just a nightmare I had about that ? lol

So, yeah, probably best to just continue to live with them for now.

Ah, what has become the PGG games way. “Fix” something, break five other things, and then just leave all of it broken forever going forward.

You will have to apply the fix for every single car, it will not automatically fix all opaque windows/front glass surfaces.

I’m still getting this with newly bought cars.

@Eeyore_Au double checking:

  • By new cars do you only mean Autoshow cars or also Auction House cars?
  • Which platform are you on?
  • Which models were they?

I have seen the same topic in Troubleshooting and saw several misinformation there. I see it in my carlist also on cars that I never toutched with tune or livery.

I have a series X. Its just happening on random cars, I haven’t noticed any specific pattern to it. But at least 3 cars in the last week have it.

Sorry I’d tell you specific models but I’ve rage quit over repeated races for the win a road race in the hsv having to first two cars winning with margins of over 7 seconds even after turning the difficulty down a few notches.

I believe i altered my oldsmobile toronado after the launch of the patch and it still had that problem. I believe this is the vehicle i noticed it on but am not 100% certain of this
