Okay, first off: I just spent half an hour trying to perfectly match a forza color setup to the stock WRX STi rim color, which will here on out now be referred to as “desert tan”.
I stopped about five minutes ago and logged the values of both the base and highlight colors, listed below. “Tick” indicates which half of the value the bar is located at, as always: tick goes from left to right. I use “tick” for lack of better words. There are two positions in each decimal value that the cursor can be placed, if y’all haven’t figured that out yet. First tick means that the cursor is on the left, or first, tick of the value. “Second tick” indicates that the cursor is on the opposite side of the first tick, but still shows marked as the same decimal value. Hopefully y’all understand.
I’m not a big Forza paint designer kind of guy but hopefully y’all’s explanation will go further in detail and maybe I’m using some incorrect terms. Correct them, if I am. And, by the way, I didn’t use a flake paint. I tried that out yesterday and stuck with two-tone polished.
Values:
Base:
- HUE: 0.11 - Second Tick
- SATURATION: 0.65 - Second Tick
- BRIGHTNESS: 1.00 - Second Tick, All the way to the right.
Highlight:
- HUE: 0.11 - Second Tick
- SATURATION: 0.31 - Second Tick
- BRIGHTNESS: 1.00 Second Tick; All the way to the right.
I’m really looking into what everyone has to say about this. And I don’t mean my list of decimal values, I’m wanting to know if anyone else has actually gotten the exact same STi color and gloss on a Forza paint setup. Anyone? And there was no point in sharing the paintjob because even if I did, no one would look up my GamerTag, look for the paint, and download it. Next best thing I could do is post the values, so there they are.
Thoughts?
