Steering lock in photos

Hi guys,

I’ve been trying to get some good drifting shots but everytime i take a photo, the wheels are straight !!

even if im stationary and hold the stick to one side and take a photo, they are still straight in said photo…

any ideas

I’ve seen complaints about this since launch. I wonder if you could get around it by taking a shot during a replay instead?

Thanks for your reply Ti_Hsien and that may work in an event (say drift zone) so i’ll give it a go as i’ve only tried it in freeroam so far…

Cheers.

take the photos in solo mode

Ok, thank you for your reply WindsweptDragon - do you mean that you can not do it in horizon live ?

yeah, there still seems to be too much of a delay when pressing the photomode button in multiplayer

In addition to WSD’s comment I also use eventlabs with custom routes. I create a short route close to where I want to be. Just don’t go through the finish and it seems to let me go anywhere. This also removes all of the PR stunt equipment and drift flags for a cleaner environment.

Why would you want to do that? If you countersteer 100% of the time you need to learn to drift. You probably redline too?

Cheers for the reply guys, appreciated… although i’ve not tried it yet (prob’ give it a go this evening if I get the time)

Not sure if your reply was directed to me or not but if it was, my reason was to get an action shot but with straight wheels, it doesn’t have the same effect.

WindsweptDragon you’re a star, in solo mode it worked a treat so thank you, much appreciated.

youre welcome and as others have pointed out you can also get it in replays (which is also when to photograph your car backfiring, you cant rewind a backfire but if you pause when you know youre about due to backfire then edge slowly forward a frame at a time to catch it.)

Or get lucky/good at timing it
