Welcome to my gallery! I’m a long time Forza player, back after a long hiatus. I painted for a few Tuning Garages on Motorsport and done my fair share of league racing. I mostly do replicas. Enjoy!
Looks great Welcome back, a few things have changed if you’ve been gone for awhile, to make designs easier for players to find and download, you might want to list with your pics - which car and the sharecode assigned to shared liveries - will make finding your designs much easier and hopefully plentiful
Not since the ol’ IFRA days haha, life got real busy. Skipped FM7 and FH4 to boot.
Seems like I came back at the right time though. A lot of the muscle memory in the paint booth has to be retaught with the control changes but I’m okay with that because ‘Create Mask’ is such a game-changing feature for me.
Yea basically, it turns whatever shape/group you select as a mask into an element that cuts through all layers down to base paint.
I’ll let MIDNYTE DUBH here explain it best:
DEF learn “Mask” functionality, it’s been huge for being able to use chrome and other special paints in vinyls, and just for cover ups if a gradient can’t fit perfectly into a shape I’ll use masking to cover up the edges if need be. It’s so much easier than building “empty space” vinyls in order to use special paints in a vinyl group, saves tons of time. And I’ve learned that gradient masks, and messing the transparency on masks can have a real cool effect for certain things too. Masking and the Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical that were all added in FH3 (I think, I might be wrong maybe some of that came in FH4) were the best additions to the functionality in the paint booth. Time savers for sure!
2 more paints! I finally finished the Need for Speed RedBull RX8 on the Formula Drift RX8 (taking some creative license of course). Also I had been grinding out logos for this Optima Batteries Raptor Race truck on the RJ Anderson Race Truck. I also dabbled in using the masking option on the truck. The Raptor logo, Toyo Tires logo and the F-150 logo all have masking. The base design can utilize special colors as well, currently I think its set at polished aluminum. Enjoy!
Love these two but especially the Raptor! Great looking truck.
Masking used to be a challenge for me! New system takes that away but is actually very handy and does save a lot of time!
