I just helped my friend get his fast by joining his online session and then I’d drive along side an AI car on the highway, then he’d zip between us. Then I’d leapfrog him & match speeds with the next AI car … he got it before the highway was over.
Threading the needle is not going 200mph. It is pass two non-racing vehicles from both sides at high speed. Go to Horizon Solo. Loads of traffic. Drive up and down the highway. For the Awesome Near misses go against the traffic.
Just a quick mention regarding the 1965 Hoonigan Gymkhana 10 Ford Hoonigan Mustang and drifting.
I struggle with drift zones especially on narrow roads and was pleasantly surprized how easy this car is to drift out of the box without any special tuning or upgrades. Got a PB on a drift zone on my first attempt without really trying.
If you have problem with seasonal PR, buy hoonicorn v2 in forzathon shop and apply my tunning, GT “Tato 790709”. Turn of stability and traction. 40k easy to get…
dont forget add car masteries, 20perc plus for 3 skill points
Does anyone else find it annoying that this week’s Trial requires you to buy a 10 million credit car in order to participate? Your only other option is to spend at least a million (if you are lucky) on one of these cars in the auction house. I don’t think that is fair at all because it can exclude people who haven’t been playing long enough to build up that kind of money, or just simply don’t have a spare 10 mil sitting around to spend on a single car for a single race series.
It is vintage racer class. All 4 of the cars available to buy go for 10 mil each. The other two are perks for buying either one of the castles, so either 10 or 15 mil for those two.
Just to note, I just ran the Trial series and this is what I was racing against…Red team (team drivatar), all vintage race cars. Blue team (real people), two Masserati 8CTF’s (me and one other person), two Catherham 500’s, a Subaru BRZ, and a VW class 5 bug. The last 4 cars are most definitely NOT vintage race cars. PG needs to fix this as soon as possible to prevent non-vintage cars from competing with an unfair advantage.
Ive had the same issue with this weeks PR stunt that i did with the previous weeks one. My PB was already greater than the one targeted so therefore its automatically already completed. Surely it could give me something greater to reach…
I have to say, it feels more and more like the first month of the game was a cynical effort to impress the players using gamepass and tempt them into buying the full game. This is another season where the weekly forzathon is done in half an hour and there are 2 seasonal championships instead of the 4 or 5 from the first month. The rewards for said championships are laughable and again, there’s an issue with the Trial event. Also claiming that the Forzathon shop Hoonigan Mustang is a new car is just a barefaced lie, dress it up how you want but it’s a reskin and not even a very different one at that.
If this is the level of seasonal content that’s expected to keep people interested for 2 years then oh dear, it all started so promisingly as well…
There’s a narrative in this forum that the flaws in the game are making the fanbase leave until PG fixes the wrong stuff.
This couldn’t be more disconnected from reality. The people who are leaving the game are (some of) the hardcore players, and with justification, because PG has screwed them over in FH4. Casuals, on the other hand, are flocking into it like birds. FH4 had the best launch sales numbers of any Forza title ever released. And it’s also available on the Game Pass, which means the userbase is even higher than the sales numbers they had.
See, just from your own post we can see how flawed this narrative of “FH4 has rubbed fans the wrong way” is. You say the rewards for the current championships are laughable. Well, these rewards are the police outfits and, judging by the sheer number of (badly) made police liveries available for download in the game, there’s a strong demand for such content. These outfits were added in last month’s update and the type of player that comprises the majority of the Horizon fanbase (people looking for goofy stuff, mostly) are definitely gonna appreciate that now they can not only drive police cars but also wear police outfits.
Repeat it all you want, but, despite its inconsistent quality, the game’s been a success. Let’s hope PG cares about the hardcore players the way T10 has in the last few months. T10 has realized FM7 needs its hardcore fanbase to survive, because casuals don’t sit around for long before they move onto the next shiny new thing. Will PG?
I should probably clarify as re-reading my post, it seems a lot more whiney than intended. My post was meant to convey my disappointment in the recent seasonal content in comparison to what was given in the first month, nothing more. FH4 remains my favourite game for many years and even if they canned all seasonal content, expansion packs and further DLC without refund, I’d still consider my UE purchase a bargain considering enjoyment thus far.
Also by laughable rewards, again this comment is entirely by comparison to the first month. There, one weeks content gave the opportunity to win 5 super wheelspins, 5 regular wheelspins and earn Forzathon points to unlock a brand new car. From this week, it’s one wheelspin, then clothing and horns with the Forzathon car a reskin of something we already have. I wouldn’t have any issue with the clothes and horns if there were another couple of championships that yielded super spins, cash or some of the rarer cars.
